There is not a single high official in Obama's corrupt regime that abides by the constitution. Each and every one of them are totally corrupt political animals (Marxists, socialists, fascists, Islamic jihad sympathizers, etc) and each and every one from Obama on down should be impeached and removed for gross incompetence and negligence and willful failure to uphold the constitution and enforce the law. Obama's "Transformation of America ™" is treason!!

Just the Energy Department?
My thinking is that all of the Federal Government and most State & Local governments are run by incompetent greedy nerds. They couldn’t get a decent job in the private sector to save their lives.

It's not incompetence so much as it is endemic corruption. Bloated labyrinth-like bureaucracies are corruption's natural breeding ground.

An agency that has never created so much a one watt of energy.

I might add that in a normal universe where the laws of rationality apply, the entire government would be shut down under RICO laws.

Methinks only a small portion of the so-called “Energy” department could pass even the simplest university level course in math or engineering.

I couldn’t agree more and at the very top of the list is Eric Holder, the laughable supposed highest law enforcement office in the country.

“Incompetence and disfunction rampant in EVERY government department.”
That was my exact thought when I read the headline. I already knew about some of the examples in the article.
But the saddest thing is that the Department of Energy, as incompetent and dysfunctional as it is, is probably one of the best run Departments in the Obama Administration. Think of the TSA, think of HUD, think of HHS, think of EPA. Think of almost every part of the Obama Administration.
To: jazusamo
They’re not incompetent.
Their job is to keep energy off the market, thereby keeping energy costs high.

It was ineptly run BY DESIGN. Made it that much easier to use the funds as “obama’s stash.”

Given the description of the DOE, although I think that federal government power to regulate nuclear energy would be appropriate, the states have never delegated to the federal government via the Constitution the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for nuclear energy or researching the human genome.

To: jazusamo
The DOE was created and charged with one task, to reduce or eliminate our “dependence” on foreign oil. Since the inception of DOE our use of “foreign” oil has shot up about 300% due largely to environmentalist initiatives blocking drilling both off shore and on government land.
The DOE is a miserable failure and should be completely dismantled.

I believe you are right on the mark.
Obama has used the DOE to pad his supporters pockets with payback, many of whom have had their fraudulent businesses go belly up costing taxpayers billions.
