Breaking: Pentagon Confirms May Court Martial Soldiers Who Share Christian Faith
Breitbart ^ | 5/1/13

Posted on 05/01/2013 9:27:40 AM PDT by Nachum

The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense...Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis...”.

The statement, released to Fox News, follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith.

(From our earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians--including chaplains--sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of “treason,” and of committing an act of “spiritual rape” as serious a crime as “sexual assault.” He also asserted that Christians sharing their faith in the military are “enemies of the Constitution.”)

Being convicted in a court martial means that a soldier has committed a crime under federal military law. Punishment for a court martial can include imprisonment and being dishonorably discharged from the military.

I spent 20 years in the Air Force and not once experienced proselytization.

Me neither, but I would be willing to bet that Mr Weinstein's definition of proselytization is a bit broader than yours or mine. Wearing a cross is probably proselytization. Offering a prayer is probably proselytization. Having a physcial chapel on a military post is probably proselytization. Having a Holy Bible available in a hospital room is probably proselytization.

The constitution-hating Marxist/Islamofacist B. Hussein Obama has completely politicized all of our government institutions. They preach nothing but wall-to-wall godless spread-the-wealth-around Marxism now, except for when exporting his brand of Muslim Brotherhood foreign policy. Defend the constitution? They spit on the constitution.

Aren’t the majority of military Christians?

You are right the GOP is not much better.... all of them are more worried about votes and power than what is wanted by their constituents and required by the constitution.

You mean soldiers’ First Amendment rights are nonexistent? The God-given right to free speech and freedom of religion that soldiers have died for, is being denied them?

And you don’t think it’s a big deal?

I on the other hand was shown that I was on the road of destruction and would bust Hell wide open, if I didn’t seek the Savior. By His grace, I received His sweet salvation. I will always be eternally thankful to those men who showed me the truth of faith in Jesus Christ! I spent 24 years in the U.S. Air Force.

It’s more than annoying. There was a Company First Sergeant in my old unit (before my time, thankfully) and who ordered Soldiers to go to church, who ordered Soldiers to drive an hour south to his house to erect GP Medium tents (Army equipment) for church functions. I think that could certainly be termed “proselytizing” and it’s very inappropriate when done by people who hold actual power over others.

That’s the point of the (farfetched) threat of “court martial.” Such behavior can be detrimental to the good order and discipline of a unit. Since we can’t ban certain religions, and we can’t be sure the “good” religions’ representatives have a lick of good sense, we have to ban it outright.

I can only wonder what might be a proper punishment for such an offense. Crucifixion perhaps?

Is George Washington proselytizing or praying in that painting? One of those is very much allowed still.

Probably but barely. The push to legitimize wiccans and every other fringe faith is all part of the effort to minimize or push out Christians entirely. Because they/we and the Jews ‘bitterly cling’ to what the libs consider ‘a problem’.

"OK, time to say it. I was walking though a grocery store about a week ago and had an odd sense that evil was coming.

Don’t know how; don’t know when. I mean, obviously Bible prophecy will be fulfilled. Kinda duh moment. This was something else, it seemed.

Wasn’t thinking about politics, society, religion, Christianity - none of that. Was simply looking for some snack food.

I cannot explain it and I know it sounds very dumb. Sorry about that.

But when I read stuff like this. Wow.

Maybe I had a bad Jack in the Box taco the day before. But they’re so yummy. LOL"

I must have had the bad taco, too!

Like something really big and bad was just around the corner and whatever it was was already in place.

I had this same feeling and had no idea where this was coming from. Just something that came out of the blue.

Most of my in-laws think I'm a wackjob so I don't talk about it - only with Mr. hummingbird.

I guess I'm a Proud Conservative Wackjob.

Time for all Christians to get out of the military.

And, to get into the private sector teaching God-fearing, Constitution-loving patriots on how to defend themselves against a godless military controlled by an "undocumented immigrant" having muslim upbringing.
