Long past time to decimate the central socialist government. Eradicate all agencies that are utterly useless. This would encompass practically the entire evil DC apparatus.

The government needs to be shut down. The congressrats need to return to their state an use the interNUT to conduct only necessary activity. They live, swarm and multiply like flies in Washington and have made a disgrace out of government.

The president

Seriously, if a government agency is targeting groups based on ideology,
that goes against everything this country was founded on - checks against government power by the consent of the governed.

I see no remedy for this except a purge, from top to bottom, of all in the IRS,
or, better yet, an abolition of the IRS.

"It is imperative that congressional investigators get to the bottom of the issue. If the IRS can get away with leaking NOM’s confidential tax return to its chief political opponent, then no taxpayer is safe from political retribution by the federal government."

My refund got delayed for a long time. They kept coming up with nonsensical B.S. excuses.

McClatchy includes the case of Catherine Engelbrecht, which CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson co-reported yesterday. That case, of course, goes far beyond the IRS; Engelbrecht’s business got harassed by the FBI, ATF, and OSHA as well, which would mean coordination far above the Treasury Department.

RICO! This entire Administration is a CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE.

It makes one wonder when the alphabet soup agencies are just going to drop all pretenses, and just go full-tilt fascist warlord on all of their percieved opposition. When we the people lose faith in the government’s ability to abide by the rule of law, all bets are off.

Didn’t Dingy Harry mention details about Romney’s tax returns that were never made public by Romney?

EVENTUALLY:

We're will uncover the facts and (intentional/unofficial) policy:

There aren't /weren't / and won't be any discussion of limits or boundaries...
....Regarding the deception, misuse and abuse of conservative individuals and groups under the color of law.

My wife and I had several generous charitable contributions on our 2011 return. Some to Christian organizations and some were to secular ones. We were hit to produce receipts...but just for the Christian ones. They went so far as to call the organizations we gave to and made them also produce records to our giving. Harassment? Probably. But we had all the necessary receipts.
The IRS is supposed to be an independent, non-partisan agency. Odongo has made it into a demonic, politicized weapon to go after those that disagree with the communist ideology.
Both need to go.

That case, of course, goes far beyond the IRS; Engelbrecht’s business got harassed by the FBI, ATF, and OSHA as well, which would mean coordination far above the Treasury Department. They also include the case of an anti-abortion group that was told they couldn’t picket Planned Parenthood locations if they wanted to keep their exemption, and a Nebraska veteran who got hassled in an IRS audit over his donations to his church once he began donating to conservative causes.

It's conceivable that nothing much will come of these investigations and hearings. Reprehensible, but not inconceivable.

Yes, but who? It wouldn't be the woman who said this, would it?

"After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.” Valerie Jarrett

That bit about Congress not being a problem, though, that one may have been a bit premature. BTT

I think anyone who has been audited has a potential claim. If I had been audited, and I consider myself to be conservative, it would certainly have a possible lawsuit on my hands.

I wonder if law firms will be running commercials during the late night movies, looking for clients?

Well, I have wondered if my donations to the Heritage Foundation triggered my IRS audit last Fall? I’m wearing it as a badge of honor.

A committee aide declined to name the employees to be interviewed. But House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said earlier this month he wants the IRS to make available five employees for transcribed interviews including John Shafer, a screening group manager, Gary Muthert, a screener in the tax-exempt division, Liz Hofacre, a former case coordinator from April to October 2010, and Joseph Herr, a former advocacy group manager.

These five employees should be made to understand that falling on their swords to protect their superiors could result in a large penalty ($5000,000), 10 years in federal prison, and loss of pension.

There were some stories a few weeks ago about IRS statistics showing there are more tax cheats in red states than blue. IMO this very likely could turn out to be that the IRS audits more taxpayers in red states. If I were part of a House committee I would be requesting stats on per capita tax audits conducted in red vs blue states. This could end up being an even bigger scandal than the tax exempt audits and harrasment of conservative groups.

Considering I have been ‘randomly selected’ for review on deductions every year since Obama took office, I can believe this.
