Obama to Egyptian Christians: Don’t Protest the Brotherhood

As Egyptians of all factions prepare to demonstrate in mass against the Muslim Brotherhood and President Morsis rule on June 30, the latter has been trying to reduce their numbers, which some predict will be in the millions and eclipse the Tahrir protests that earlier ousted Mubarak. Among other influential Egyptians, Morsi recently called on Coptic Christian Pope Tawadros II to urge his flock, Egypts millions of Christians, not to join the June 30 protests.
While that may be expected, more troubling is that the U.S. ambassador to Egypt is also trying to prevent Egyptians from protestingincluding the Copts. The June 18th edition of Sadi al-Balad reports that lawyer Ramses Naggar, the Coptic Churchs legal counsel, said that during Pattersons June 17 meeting with Pope Tawadros, she asked him to urge the Copts not to participate in the demonstrations against Morsi and the Brotherhood.
The Pope politely informed her that his spiritual authority over the Copts does not extend to political matters.
Regardless, many Egyptian activists are condemning Patterson for flagrantly behaving like the Muslim Brotherhoods stooge. Leading opposition activist Shady el-Ghazali Harb said Patterson showed blatant bias in favor of Morsi and the Brotherhood, adding that her remarks had earned the U.S. administration the enmity of the Egyptian people. Coptic activists like George Ishaq openly told Patterson to shut up and mind your own business. And Christian business tycoon Naguib Sawirisno stranger to Islamist hostilityposted a message on his Twitter account addressed to the ambassador saying Bless us with your silence.
Indeed, the U.S. ambassadors position as the Brotherhoods lackey is disturbingand revealingon several levels. First, all throughout the Middle East, the U.S. has been supporting anyone and everyone opposing their leadersin Libya against Gaddafi, in Egypt itself against 30-year U.S. ally Mubarak, and now in Syria against Assad. In all these cases, the U.S. has presented its support in the name of the human rights and freedoms of the people against dictatorial leaders.
So why is the Obama administration now asking Christians not to oppose their rulersin this case, Islamistswho have daily proven themselves corrupt and worse, to the point that millions of Egyptians, most of them Muslims, are trying to oust them?
Whats worse is that the human rights abuses Egypts Coptic Christians have been suffering under Muslim Brotherhood rule are significantly worse than the human rights abuses that the average Egyptian suffered under Mubarakmaking the Copts right to protest even more legitimate, and, if anything, more worthy of U.S support.
Among other things, under Morsis rule, the persecution of Copts has practically been legalized, as unprecedented numbers of Christiansmen, women, and childrenhave been arrested, often receiving more than double the maximum prison sentence, under the accusation that they blasphemed Islam and/or its prophet. It was also under Morsis reign that another unprecedented scandal occurred: the St. Mark Cathedralholiest site of Coptic Christianity and headquarters to the Pope Tawadros himselfwas besieged in broad daylight by Islamic rioters. When security came, they too joined in the attack on the cathedral. And the targeting of Christian childrenfor abduction, ransom, rape, and/or forced conversionhas also reached unprecedented levels under Morsi. (For more on the plight of the Copts under Morsis rule, see my new book Crucified Again: Exposing Islams New War on Christians.)
Yet despite the fact that if anyone in Egypt has a legitimate human rights concern against the current Egyptian government, it most certainly is the Christian Copts, here is the U.S., in the person of Ms. Patterson, asking them not to join the planned protests.
In other words, and consistent with Obama administrations doctrine, when Islamistsincluding rapists and cannibalswage jihad on secular leaders, the U.S. supports them; when Christians protest Islamist rulers who are making their lives a living hell, the administration asks them to know their place and behave like dhimmis, Islams appellation for non-Muslim infidels who must live as third class citizens and never complain about their inferior status.
But don’t you dare claim he’s a Muslim!!
Translation: Don’t dis my homies or I cut off the money pipeline.
2nd translation: Note to all Christians, the MB are your new overlord. Do not insult my demon god Allah or you go to jail. To hell with your god.

It the unlikely event a secular, non Islamic government should emerge in Egypt. Or Iran, or Syria, or anywhere in North Africa or the Mideast, they probably wouldn't have much use for us, we're on the Islamists side now.
Obama told us in his book he would take the Muslim’s side.
We never listen to him.
We should give the guns to the Christians instead.
Its time (no, its over due) for a major change.
I think it might be time for mass protests against Obama and his hamfisted meddling in other countries’ affairs!
A Lutheran Minister friend of mine carries a Coptic Crucifix in his pocket and prays with me(a Charismatic Evangelical) for Our Brethren(Mostly Orthodox and Catholic) in Egypt.
One Flock...One Shepherd.
And, of course, we pray for the People being persecuted for their faith EVERY DAY on the “Pray For the peace of Jerusalem” Thread.
Hopefully, more and more Christians will recognize that we have a common enemy who wants to kill us all.
Obama told the truth. The winds have shifted in an ugly direction, and he is siding with Islamic murderers over their Christian victims. Obama often tells the truth, but many people just don't realize how dreadful that truth is until it's too late. Coptic Christians have been in Egypt for over 1900 years and have survived a broad range of evil. I wish I could be confident that they would survive this too, but a corrupt and murderous regime backed by the only superpower in the world may put an end to their existence. The United States used to support freedom, but the winds have shifted indeed.
Sort of like telling German Jews in 1938 not to protest Kristalnacht.
I often wondered how different that might have been if Germany had a 2nd Amendment and just 15% of Jews showed up with shot guns.
Does Patterson understand that unless she converts herself she is going to be a dhimmi too sooner or later?
As the government refuses to protect us from this hate cult, at bare minimum, we citizens need to make the USA as Islam unfriendly as possible.
If there are any peaceful Muslims, their numbers are infinitesimal, and it is much better to get rid of the cancer cells in the country than allow that cancer to change the very way of life for the rest of us.
We need to shame those who believe in a 7th century pedophile’s satanic rantings and that comic book for retards.
It is not a religion but a hate cult and deserves ZERO 1st Amendment protection.
He’s a pig-dog islamist.
Obama is saying to the Christians, it makes no difference what you do.You’re not goingto make it,you’re not going to survive much longer.
Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise.
