Paula Deen went on "Today" Wednesday morning to tearfully defend herself against allegations she is a racist, as her multimillion dollar food empire teetered on the brink of collapse.
Recently fired by the Food Network, Smithfield Brands and Caesars Entertainment over her admission in a sworn deposition that she had once uttered the N-word, the emotional celebrity chef thanked the companies who have stood with her and lashed out at her critics.
"I is what I is, and I'm not changing," a teary Deen told host Matt Lauer. "If there is anyone out there that has never said something that they wish they could take back, please pick up that stone and throw it so hard that it kills me."

I just learn the other day from an restaurant owner the government now only allow so much salt etc to be used in the food or they will be shut down, so the next time you visited your local Greek diner don’t be surprise if the food seems flat.
I also noticed McDonald’s fries are no longer salted you have to ask for salt.

Wow, I guess you don't have any friends or family who ever used a so called "racist" word in their entire life, it must be nice for you to live in such a pure world. A word is a word, doesn't mean a damn thing until some spineless cry baby race baiter like jesse or al decides they don't like it. Whites get called cracker and other assorted "racist" words all the time by the same blacks who are offended by being called a nigger, I don't see any of us getting all upset and banning the words for blacks etc etc. words are only racist if someone let's it be racist. I grew up using the word, no one I know got upset, I was called wop, guinea, etc I didn't cry or call people racists. Remember years ago there was someone on the school committee, I forget what state, Washington maybe? Anyway, he used the word “niggardly” to describe the finances and was promptly removed because the idiots he was speaking to didn’t understand the meaning of the word and because it started out “niggar” they went off the deep end. Pretty pathetic.

Cleburne’s Cafeteria in Houston used to have great food. The last time we ate there the food was bland. My wife wrote the owner. He called her and said he was devastated, that his immigrant father had built the business but he had to cut down on the salt. He didn’t say it was on government orders but we suspect it was.

One thing seem hopeful that is coming out of this, is there seems to be a ground swell of regular folks of all persuasion very fed up with the PC Nazi’s.

I have never seen such a meteoric fall from grace as this one. On Saturday, we walked into a store and her spices were $3.99. Last night, the same store, the same spices and they were .99 and the manager was looking to get rid of her books. The rest of the stuff with her name was BoGo..

I agree with you, but I think the “offended victims” are the meanest of thugs that have spines of steel. When they hear these words uttered, I doubt they are offended in the least. Instead, I’ll wager they are thrilled to the soles of their feet and can barely resist snorting out loud and rubbing their two hands together in anticipation. The n-word means money in the bank and the enjoyable spectacle of seeing someone pilloried and tortured in public. What a thrill it must be for these bastards.

In my old neighborhood, I heard it dozens of times a day. The n-word was among the milder expressions coming out of their stupid yaps. If I would have been listening for it, I would have heard it constantly. I came up with techniques to drown it out... tried and true ones like cotton in the ears and white-noise machines. I think that bunch truly hate themselves. I was plucked from the place by the angels; that’s for sure.

Not exactly. Black refers to race. Nigger refers to black trash, similar to white trash.
There is a difference, and if anyone knows it it's black people. That Chris Rock can get away with explaining in detail the difference between blacks and niggers in his stand-up comedy routines and Paula Deen is not allowed to do the same is a double standard of epic proportions.
Although if she was saying (and I only caught a portion of the TV coverage of this so I may be off here) that professional blacks are blacks and low-wage (non-professional) working blacks are niggers than to hell with her.
