Materials implicating Syrian gov in chemical attack prepared before incident – Russia

Materials implicating the forces of Syrian president Bashar Assad in chemical weapons use near Damascus were prepared prior to the alleged incident on August 21, the Russian foreign ministry said.

Moscow continues to monitor closely the event surrounding the “alleged” chemical attack near Damascus, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Aleksandr Lukashevich, said in a statement.

“We’re getting more new evidence that this criminal act was of a provocative nature,” he stressed. “In particular, there are reports circulating on the Internet, in particular that the materials of the incident and accusations against government troops had been posted for several hours before the so-called attack. Thus, it was a pre-planned action.”

The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that Assad’s government has demonstrated a “constructive approach” to the chemical weapons issue by allowing UN experts into the country.

But it’s alarming that the “same signals” aren’t coming from the Syrian opposition, which so far hasn’t displayed willingness to ensure the safety and efficient operations of UN investigators on the territory it controls, he said.

“This directly impedes the objective investigation of allegations of possible cases of chemical weapons use in Syria, which is called for by a number of countries and which the Russian side supports,” Lukashevich noted.

The Russian foreign ministry “strongly appeals to those who should put pressure on the opposition, making it take the necessary steps in order to ensure the full realization of the objectives of the international expert mission,” the spokesman said.

How do we know the opposition forces didn't do this just to get us involved. My BS detector is going off on this whole incident.

The 'opposition' has done this before when they were losing ground and support.

For the Benghazi listers, it's difficult to separate Benghazi from what is happening in Syria, but if you would rather NOT be pinged to these articles on Syria, Freepmail me and I will try to separate the lists.

Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise.

I no longer believe or trust our government nor their propaganda arm, the main stream media.

With the world watching why would Syria do this?

The media was all over President Bush with “he lied, people died” and that there were no weapons of mass destruction in the middle east. But now it is different, how you may ask, easy, there is a liberal Democrat in office.

Personally I think it is time we pull out of the middle east, exploit our own natural resources for energy (which we have a lot of) and allow the middle east to solve their own problem.

This is getting embarrassing that on just about every issue Russia is getting it right while Obama doesn't. The Assad regime has nothing to gain from chemical warfare; they're winning. The terrorists battling him need an issue to manipulate the US into more support.

The last thing the ME needs is another deposed dictator-thug who can keep his population in line.

This is a false flag chemical attack (second one) and the "evidence" of the attack was fabricated prior to to the attack.

The Russians have been right on top of this from the start, are not fooled and know how Obama gins up these fake incidents in the hopes of getting UN sanction for the use of force against Syria through the UN Security Council.

It won't work, Russia China and at least three other rotating members of the Security Council have figured out and will veto Obama, the Rats and NATO war mongering.

The US as the world good guy is over.

How PR Sold the War in the Persian Gulf

>>>In fact, the most emotionally moving testimony on October 10 came from a 15-year-old Kuwaiti girl, known only by her first name of Nayirah. According to the Caucus, Nayirah’s full name was being kept confidential to prevent Iraqi reprisals against her family in occupied Kuwait. Sobbing, she described what she had seen with her own eyes in a hospital in Kuwait City. Her written testimony was passed out in a media kit prepared by Citizens for a Free Kuwait. “I volunteered at the al-Addan hospital,” Nayirah said. “While I was there, I saw the Iraqi soldiers come into the hospital with guns, and go into the room where ... babies were in incubators. They took the babies out of the incubators, took the incubators, and left the babies on the cold floor to die.”83<<<

>>>At the Human Rights Caucus, however, Hill & Knowlton and Congressman Lantos had failed to reveal that Nayirah was a member of the Kuwaiti Royal Family. Her father, in fact, was Saud Nasir al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the US, who sat listening in the hearing room during her testimony. The Caucus also failed to reveal that H&K vice-president Lauri Fitz-Pegado had coached Nayirah in what even the Kuwaitis’ own investigators later confirmed was false testimony.<<<

>>>Following the war, human rights investigators attempted to confirm Nayirah’s story and could find no witnesses or other evidence to support it. Amnesty International, which had fallen for the story, was forced to issue an embarrassing retraction. Nayirah herself was unavailable for comment. “This is the first allegation I’ve had that she was the ambassador’s daughter,” said Human Rights Caucus co-chair John Porter. “Yes, I think people ... were entitled to know the source of her testimony.” When journalists for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation asked Nasir al-Sabah for permission to question Nayirah about her story, the ambassador angrily refused.86<<<

I hope we get kicked out of the U.N.

Won't happen, the UN General Assembly is actually part of the problem and has for decades hoped to turn the US hard line socialist and use US military strength to bully all non socialist nations.

The US-UN General Assembly relationship was always incestuous, and since the Federal transformation into a socialist tyranny the UN GA can be actively complicit in the use of US military force in favor of Islamic socialism worldwide.

There would not be a peep about this policy had Russia not forsaken Communism, dismantled the Soviet Union, and China not abandoned ECONOMIC Communism to develop their economy. Now they are the force reigning in the General Assembly by vetoing the Assembly resolutions in the Security Council.

The only thing that monkey wrenched Obama's plans is the UN SECURITY COUNCIL and Russia and China's permanent membership there.
