Embracing advice from responding police following a home break-in where she hid from intruders, former Michigan State House representative and failed Detroit mayoral candidate Lisa Howze may decide to carry a gun, The Detroit News reported last Wednesday.
“The officer told me it’s time to get my CPL license,” Howze told the press. “I had resisted for a long time, saying, no, I’m not getting a gun, I’m not getting a gun. Now I’m not resisting.”
Why a concealed carry permit would be useful in a home robbery was left unsaid, so the assumption must be that she intends to carry a gun in public. This has some pro-gun comment posters hopeful that they have a convert and a new ally for the cause of liberty.

I would discourage liberals from obtaining any form of self defense. Just call 911...after all, the government built it.

If all democrats treated firearm self-defense the way they treat WOMEN’s self defense,
they’d be the largest group of ccw gun owners out there.
They will say “Of course she’s thinking about a gun now, look what happened to her?”
“So, we all have to be victimized and possibly injured or almost killed in order for you to say ‘ok now you can own a gun?’ “

“Why don’t you let people have the ability to defend themselves wit ha gun BEFORE they are a victim? You let women take self-defense classes so that they aren’t defenseless victims of rapists. You say having that ability EMPOWERS them.”
Yet they won’t be for ‘empowering’ people against armed attackers by owning a gun for self defense.

Do as libs say not as they do. She’s important so the laws she wants for the citizens should not apply to her. She’s only doing what’s best for her constituents whether they appreciate it or not.
