Black males aged 14-55 that are most likely to commit a violent crime are less than 3% of the US population. When you remove from that pool those that are already in prison, overseas in the military, in hospital, or law abiding what is left is a very, very dangerous and criminally prolific group.
Desegregation, civil rights legislation -- all these things came in being because white voters had good will towards blacks, felt sympathy towards them, and wanted to help.
You know all that good will? It's turning to hate. I see it more and more every day among people I know. It WILL reach the tipping point some day soon.
In my area that tipping point was reached when Newark fell in the 1960s; many of the residents of the suburbs either lived in Newark at the time or are the children of those chased out. There is no “white guilt” in the Newark NJ area.
I wonder if race was a factor? /sarc
