My theory on no-knock raids is they should only be allowed if the state’s governor signs off on them. You’d be amazed how many fewer there would be.

During long, low-intensity wars, soldiers act like cops and later cops act like soldiers.

This isn't really about militarizing police.

This is about DHS staging military equipment around the country so they can come and take it when Ubama declares martial law.

If neighbors were complaining sounds like that’s not a real “farm” — there are codes to follow in the cities and if you don’t you might pay the consequences.

I noticed ten years ago, before leaving the USSA, police, even in small bedroom towns, were morphing into jack-booted thugs. I do not know what started the craze, other then TV and movies.

To Serve & Protect = To Dominate & Intimidate

So, when are the people permitted to object to and resist this? When their pets are shot in the living room by swat teams smashing in their doors? Oops, already happening.

What about when swat teams invade homes for minor traffic warrants and the like? Oops, already happening

Hmm, well then, maybe when the paramilitary police beat up and drag people from their homes without warrants, to search for criminals that are somewhere else? Oops, already happening.

But, but, how can this be happening with Democrats in charge and the ACLU eager to defend our Constitutional rights?

If those folks were cleared of any wrongdoing, they should SUE BIGTIME and buy up the entire neighborhood. Now there’s a good use for my tax money !

I was opposed to all this arming of smaller cities and town police forces with more advanced weaponry.

I’m having second thoughts.

Yes, they will cause a lot of deaths, but for those of us who need and want real firepower, the physically closer to us that it is stored, the easier it will be to obtain.

These faux LEO’s will be just doing their job, while we will be fighting for our families, our homes, and our children’s future.

Not only will we be more determined, we are a lot smarter than the average LEO.

I know who’s side I’m betting on.

I recommend the following book highly: Rise of the Warrior Cop. It is an excellent history containing the court cases and legislation that have led to the mess we face. For the most part it was due to Republican support for the drug war. Best we own it and fix it before it owns us.

My county Sheriff has said he will not enforce any new un-Constitutional gun control laws state or FedMob. It might benefit me if his department gets itself trained and armed better.

Maybe you should change your screen name to Matt DeNostradamus... More and more becomes public each day. And maybe, just maybe, it is starting to draw some attention...

The individual states need to act on this with a simple, two part law: The Police Demilitarization Law.

1) Municipal police departments in the state must have written state approval for all police, military, and paramilitary equipment they possess, store and use. This includes equipment from all sources, including privately owned equipment. This written approval can be rescinded at any time and will be decided on a case by case basis.

2) Equipment not authorized by the state will be turned over to the county Sheriff’s office for safekeeping, to be retained, used, sold or destroyed at the discretion of that Sheriff.

And a second state law, to officially changed the training curriculum at the state police academy to more literally follow the US constitution, despite federal laws and court rulings to the contrary.

This smells more like what’s been going on out here in the Cali desert (Kern County for those that are interested). There are a lot of people living out there that went there to live life the way they want to, which usually means that they’re living with a lot of junked cars, etc on their property. Well the county decided that was bad for property values and started sending out SWAT teams to do code enforcement. Same MO, handcuff the owner(s) and make them sit there while the cops trash their place and haul off anything of value, then slap them with dozens of code violations and fines that basically forces them to give up the property.

It sounds like this “farm” was in a higher rent community and someone with some pull had them SWATed. I don’t doubt that their property probably looked like hell and that they were not the best of neighbors but this is America, or at least it was and people used to be able to do what they wanted with their property. Not any more.
