ORLANDO, Fla. - Many people signing up for health care in Florida through the Affordable Care Act have been shocked when they have to give proof of their credit score before they finish the process.
Anne Packham, one of many people licensed by the state to help people navigate the government's website, said on Tuesday that the credit check occurs so providers can make an educated decision about who to insure.

ROTFL, so no credit, no insurance LOL
Heh heh heh. How’s that hopey changey thing working out? I don’t think Junior the College Student/Obama voter is going to be very happy about this.
What a freakin ruse...
Imagine those who have no credit at all, illegals and such being charged more for their health insurance. LMAO
Yeah, I can see that...

Dear Anne,
You’re an idiot.
L
Government. The word has a new definition now. Enjoy.
So, would a horrible credit score result in universal rejection and then an exemption?
Could be the other way around....those with good credit obviously have money and need to pay their "fair share".
That credit check ONLY applies to the middle class. Folks who have been living off the State's largesse for-EVER don't have to worry about credit checks ... their health care is free... Obama takes care of Democrat's most reliable voters...
Yep. You got it!
Is it really illegal to ask for a credit score when selling a product?
Or High Risk Premiums for the poor. LOL
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Shades of Art Fern!
No credit? Bad Credit? We don’ care. Can’t pay...? THEN we care!

I just love these stories when Obama butt-lickers reach the level of reality after drinking the Hopeychangey Kool Aid.
So I want to know if the subsided people get to have the gold or platinum plan?
They’re required to get your credit score but forbidden from asking about your medical history. How messed up is that?
In some states yes, in others, no, when it comes to health insurance.
Do you have to pay the fines if your credit is too poor to qualify for mandatory insurance?
