In his 2002 campaign for Virginia state Senate, Cuccinelli said that he did not support legal abortion for victims of rape or incest.
When over half of the voters are women, that kind of ignorance will get you every time. He likely lost many more votes than he gained from that nonsense.

So you would prefer he lie?
When you say ignorance, do you mean ignorance of the political landscape only? BTW, historically, more women than men have been pro-life. The problem with Virginia is that it has too much of a certain kind of woman. Are Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin ignorant as well?

Oh boy. The GOP-e does NOTHING for him, predicting a loss before the election, and stands by in an off-year election that was obviously winnable. The Dems fund a Libertarian candidate to siphon off votes from people like you, and some took the bait.
And you want to blame his loss on his being pro-life.

I agree. The abortion issue was settled a long time ago and the majority of women will not vote for a pro life candidate, especially if the candidate is against abortion for victims of rape, incest or life of the mother. In addition, most people don’t care what gays do or don’t do relative to marriage. The far right will dig in their heals for their ideal candidate and they will lose.

WTH are thinking man? Some of the Best Conservatives we have right now are women.
Whatever the sins of the parents the child is always innocent.
Besides even if being Pro-Abortion puts you on the side of winning Liberal Women, It Doesn't put you on the side of someone FAR more.........omnipotent....

There you go. That darned unreasonable Cuccinelli...it's okay to be against the murder of the unborn, except, well, in certain circumstances. /s
Sorry, this kind of thinking is what will eventually lead the Republican party to openly embracing voluntary abortion, homosexuality, etc.
