The news in the dark? Well...maybe they will track this and notice a trend particulary in DC.

The media knows this is happening. They are not that out of the loop. They talk to the police. They are in courtrooms. It has been happening for years. They have decided to keep quiet about it because they don't want to get harassed by civil rights activists, and probably diverse people within their own management. They will only report these as individual incidents with no connection to each other, no trend, and no similarities in rage and age.

Until last week. Maybe it was Thomas Sowell's column on this that finally broke the silence. But for some reason, only after it has been going on for a few years now, and people have died, do they change their policy and begin to report the truth.

Greta reported on this tonight and she called out Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton and Obama for not doing anything about it because she said the attackers are all black and it is happening more and more. She showed video of three people getting knocked out cold!

In September, a 13-year-old boy was sentenced to 18 months of confinement for the beating death of a 51-year-old man in upstate New York.

The teen had pleaded guilty to assault and attempted assault, admitting that he started the fatal beating by attempting to knock the man out with a single punch.

The teen said he and his friends were playing a street game called “knockout.” His punch apparently had little to no effect, but the follow-up from a 16-year-old boy caused bleeding in the victim’s brain, and he died in late May.

The 16-year-old co-defendant was found guilty last month in Onondaga County Family Court of second-degree manslaughter and received the same sentence.

Unicef says social turmoil leads to an epidemic of sexual abuse

Sexual violence is spreading in African conflict zones like an epidemic, the United Nations has warned.

The UN's children's fund, Unicef, says rape is no longer just perpetrated by combatants but also by civilians.

The organisation said rape was most common in countries affected by wars and natural disasters.

"When societies collapse there seems to be a licence to rape. This is a major concern to us," Unicef Deputy Executive Director Hilde Frafjord Johnson said.

Sexual violence appeared to accompany a significant uprooting of society when some of the social norms crumble, she said.

Things happen that are unheard of in other African communities

Unicef's Hilde Frafjord Johnson said that in Kenya reported cases of sexual violence had doubled within days of the recent post-election conflict erupting.

"Things happen that are unheard of in other African communities suddenly happen in these situations, and that is why we call it epidemic proportions, because it takes a life of its own," she said.

She added that rape was also prevalent in trouble spots in Sudan, Chad and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where victims range from a few months old to octogenarians.
