Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, and their two daughters did not go to church on either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, according to press pool reports. The Obamas are in Kailua, Hawaii for a 17-day Christmas vacation.

Did not go to church either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, went to visit a relative instead. I think most Protestants celebrate a religious Christmas more on the Sundays leading UP TO Christmas, not on the holiday itself.
NOT that Obama is a Christian. I am not giving him a pass, it’s just that the article is silly.
They rarely go to church period.
So why would they go on Christmas?

When it come to Obama, lot of folks are keeping track of all the faith based data, or its lack thereof. I have to remember, not all Christian religions do as my fellow Catholics do or are supposed to be doing.
They don’t go on Sundays so why would Christmas be any different? Maybe they’ll *do* kwanzaa?

I was raised Pentecostal and never set foot in a church on Christmas.
"Church" is an assembly of believers having New Testament mandates, requirements, commissions, and privileges as well.
It is appropriate to assemble with believers at any time, and (Heb. 10:25) it should be increasingly often as we see the coming of Christ approaching. But specifically named "holidays" have nothing whatsoever to do with it.
The Scriptures know no Christmas, Easter (as celebrated today), Lent, Epiphany, or any of that. We are not instructed ANYWHERE in the Word of God that me must observe ANY special days.
Most Muslims only go to church to burn one down.
