Wish more of the red States would get on board.
Kansas' law declares that the federal government has no authority to regulate guns, ammunition and accessories manufactured, sold and kept only in Kansas. The law also makes it a felony for a federal agent to enforce any law, regulation, order or treaty covering those items.
This would mean that a gun manufactured, sold and kept in Kansas wouldn't require a Federal background check which means the Feds wouldn't have access to the type and serial number.
There’s a similar law in the Florida House (HB 733) right now. This is a nationwide initiative, from what I’ve heard.
