President Barack Obama is fulfilling a State of the Union pledge to preserve more federal lands by adding more California coastline to a national monument.
Obama on Tuesday signed a proclamation permanently protecting some 1,665 acres in Northern California's Mendocino County, just north of Point Arena.

Thank you Caliph Baraq.
Hopefully they will site a nice golf course next to the Baraq Hussein Obama Presidential Library and Choom Gang Museum.
Ridiculous,,the entire coast is almost so protected that nobody can use it already. Traveled there and was amazed at how limited and controlled beach access was there.
That is the King's beach, and use of the King's beach by the lowly serfs is allowable only at His sufferance.
But now its FEDERALLY protected!
See how much nicer they are now?
Demonuts plan is coming together ,to make everyone live in a City , Obama’s Run style , LOL
next come...the no parking ..so stopping....signs...
I wish he and the rest of the DC crowd were half as concerned with defending our southern border.
WEll, then that would put the toxic cleanup of the beaches on the taxpayers - you know, this stuff - debris feild big as Texas -
Imagine the hilarity when a conservative POTUS and congress decide to return all of these federal land takings to the states? Hopefully the leftists will shriek so hard they become hoarse, and bleed out of several orifices at the same time.
The almighty POTUS (pen of the US) is at it again.
The only ways that I know of that the states have given the feds the constitutional authority to acquire land is by buying it, either buying private land for public use, or negotiating with a state's legislature to buy state land as required by the Constitution's Clause 17 of Section 8 of Article I. So if the land in question became federal property merely by federal bureaucratic proclamation, as opposed to following constitutional procedures, then the feds actually have no control over the land imo.
So what am I overlooking?
The ‘clean the beach’ routine has now enriched their college application resumes. Then what? a pizza party and communal green feeling time, plus they were
able to avoid learning the three R's for one more day.
He just set aside another 1600 acres for the pot growers.
“The far-reaching fate for a captive new human society is not being planned in Washington, D.C., but in New York City.
That fate is no longer somewhere off in the distant future but is being made ready to eclipse all of human societyby the end of 2015.
The sovereignty of all nations will be swallowed whole in the United Nations Post-2015 Development Agenda, and thats only the nightmarish beginning of the coming new life on Planet Earth.”
