My father survived taking back several Pacific islands from them, including Okinawa.
From what little he told me, anyone that fools around with the Japanese is in for a very bad time.
I hope the Chinese remember their WWII lessons well about what a small island country can do when it gets riled up. The Japanese are peaceful now, best let them stay that way, sort of like the Germans.
I don’t know if they’re the same people now. We don’t seem to be either.

Unlike the Germans (who dominate the united continental Europe as Hitler imagined), the Japanese are reliant on US protection while they have two menacing neighbors (Red China and their North Korean puppet state); imagine how terrified they must be with our weak token president in office.
I have no objection to Japan re-arming; in fact, it is probably in our best interests. The people who led them in WWII are dead; today’s Japanese had no hand in that.
