How about a Biblical recounting of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah?

Amen, bro.

Roma Downey, Kirk Cameron, Patricia Heaton and others have been putting their money where their mouth is for years.

Here's to many more joining them.

“Its only a freakin’ movie. Just go or don’t go. How hard is that ?”

Agreed.

I have declined the going a movie option since January for the simple reason that NOTHING has come out in the past couple of months that I want to see.

Protest the dumb movie by posting endless threads about how bad it is, which has now made me curious to want to see it.

I have no plans to see the movie, but the reason why Christians are against the movie is because it does not mention God, even though he is mentioned 15 times and Lord is mentioned 7 times

As far as “make something better”, that has been attempted. Mel Gibson had to fund his Passion movie himself to get it made. Hollywood & it’s investors can’t see fit to make a movie or show that is true to the bible. When someone does so, it is usually a major hit and baffles them.

That said, I can’t comment on this flick as I have not seen it. There are some on our side who see things in media that are not there. As an example, there was one Disney movie that they claimed if you listen to it backwards at a certain speed you can almost hear someone telling girls to take off their clothes. Ok, that may be but most of us watch/listen in the forward mode at normal speed.

I agree about making something better. For three years, we've been engaged in conservative films---not necessarily "religious," though I always try to work the salvation message into everything.

Our first movie, "Rockin' the Wall," a documentary about rock music's part in bringing down the Iron Curtain, actually got on PBS. Yet it's G-rated, has a terrific salvation story mentioning Jesus Christ in it, and is purely about liberty and American freedoms shared with others.

We have been working for three years to fund "Patriot's History of the United States" video. This has been tougher. Except for Citizens United, not one conservative foundation or group has given us any support at all. So we'll get it done without them.

Finally we have a terrific treatment for a movie about the defense of Malta in 1565, which Hollywood will never make because the Christians win.

It’s not “just a movie.” The movie was created by an anti-Christian bigot as agitprop. Responding in kind is a reasonable response.

Sodom and Gomorrah? Been done (1962 movie).

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056504/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

If they had named it something else (Adamah and Zeboim) we all would wonder what the story was about, it is so different from THE BOOK.
Note, Adamah and Zeboim were the other two cities destroyed at the time of Sodom and Gomorrah.

I wonder why he didn’t write -

If “WE” Christians are going to rail against Hollywood...

Don't we already have recreations on both coasts?

Well ... considering this atheist director said he made the LEAST BIBLICAL ‘biblical movie’ ... one can’t expect anything from it except atheist and liberal PROPAGANDA!
