This is the guy with ties to the Saudi Royals who has eleven male relatives, yes nearly a dozen men, who are members of Al Qaida. He was injured at the Boston Marathon because he was handling the "pressure cooker bombs" when they started to go off.

FLOTUS made a point of visiting him in hospital.

The lawsuit trial will be interesting as there should be all kinds of opportunity for discovery.

"The lawsuit, which also names the broadcast companies connected to Beck's show, seeks a jury trial and unspecified damages."

If I were Beck, I would see this as a great opportunity to skin the Arabs and make a huge publicity event out of it.

The justice system is entirely random with a strong liberal bias. There’s not telling what might happen once you get in front of a “judge.”

RE: discovery

Discovery: Law. Data or documents that a party to a legal action is compelled to disclose to another party either before or during a proceeding.

(wiki source) Discovery, in the law of the United States, is the pre-trial phase in a lawsuit in which each party, through the law of civil procedure, can obtain evidence from the opposing party by means of discovery devices including requests for answers to interrogatories, requests for production of documents, requests for admissions and depositions.

I think discovery is one of the reasons savvy conservatives like Mark Levin are not sued. This should be interesting and will likely be dropped upon word from Saudi Arabia.

Leon Uris’ `QB VII’ comes to mind. The plaintiff may be sorry he opened this can of worms.

Do you have documentation for these claims or is this just your opinion?

What's the old saying?

Never argue with a man that buys ink by the barrel...

Or in this case one who owns his own tv/radio network!

“handling the “pressure cooker bombs” when they started to go off.”

What? If he was close enough to touch one he’d be much more severely injured. From the ignition to blast is milliseconds, they were filled with blackpowder and fireworks powders.

Yes, FLOTUS visited him, that much is correct.

Can you have a jury trial when one party is not an American citizen?
Or is the decision totally in a judges hands ?

Bombs?

There were two of them, and they went off 12 seconds and 210 yards apart. Therefore, this guy could have been "handling" at most one of them. But, if he had, he would no longer be coming down for breakfast, much less suing Glenn Beck.

Also, pressure cooker bombs "start to go off" rather quickly. You would need one of those super high-speed cameras even to tell the difference between the beginning and the end.

This is that little royal Saudi college student who was supposed to be studying in the midwest but instead was living in a waterfront condo and going to school in Harvard Square. The Saudi ambassador made an emergency visit to the White House, Moochelle flew to Boston and visited him in the hospital, and lo and behold he was whisked out of the country like the Saudi students of 9/11. Guilty as hell and free as a bird. What a wunnerful country.

"The lawsuit trial will be interesting as there should be all kinds of opportunities for discovery. "

Agreed. Most interesting. And maybe the media will finally cover this?

As I recall, there were many things that didn't make any sense with his (Saudi Royal's) story, but the government ignored all of them and let him go-no questions asked.
