Why would anyone want to exploit holes in XP at this point. Not enough machines to bother with. It’s one of the reasons you didn’t hear about Mac viruses for so long. :-P

Kinda sorta; it could intercept viruses but can’t update any applications to improve their virusproofness.
Microsoft might be wise to outsource legacy support to someone else.
