**Takalkar cites another recent study that found breast cancer linked to higher number of abortions and the use of the oral contraceptive pill. **

Both are true.

Someone is under the mistake impression that the NARAL/Planned Parenthood crowd actually gives a damn about women getting cancer.

What is your evidence for that statement?

My wife's doctor told her this and I also heard it on Teresa Tomeo (sp?) radio show several years ago, I don't recall her source.

It’s true. The abruptness of the induced AB is what does. Had 4 spontaneous and if I had an increased risk of CA if know it. No reason for them to cover it up

Thanks. In my case, I had 3 children prior to my serial miscarriages. They were probably due to my “advanced maternal age,” since I was 37, 41, and 42 when they occurred. Thank goodness I also nursed each of my babies for about a year, since that protects against developing BC.

I thought studies showed they didn’t increase the risk of BC since they were a natural occurrence and not an abrupt change in hormone levels like abortions.

I thought I'd read studies showing the same thing. It's a NATURAL hormone level change, not an abrupt, artificial one, like that caused by an abortion.

You’d think that with all the brouhaha about breast cancer and preventing it, they’d focus on that more. But I guess they don’t like to do or say anything that makes women who bottle fed feel bad about themselves.

Nope, it's more sinister than that. They don't want ANYTHING to come out that would threaten their vaunted 'right to choose'.
