Used positive pregnancy tests can be found for sale all over the Internet.
And as CBS 2s Alice Gainer reported, those involved said people are snapping them up with less-than-ethical motivations.
One mother from Dallas did not want her identity revealed, but she does want people to buy her positive pregnancy tests. She talked about one woman who took her up on the offer.
She wanted to trick him into thinking she was pregnant, so he would drop everything so I gave her two tests, the woman said.

Relationships in modern America.
Can I ask a stupid question? What happens as the months go by, and she never starts to show, and he discovers it was all a hoax????
Eschewing pre-marital sex would seem to be a sure guard against this particular type of womanly fraud.
What about the other 5%? Do they just want to play a prank on their parents?
Shhhh, you’re not supposed to notice that sex and pregnancy are related.
Oh, I see that’s mentioned later in the article.
If false witness weren’t a problem it wouldn’t be one of the 10 Commandments.
“Can I ask a stupid question? What happens as the months go by, and she never starts to show, and he discovers it was all a hoax????”
About 10% of all obvious pregnancies end in miscarriage, the real miscarriage rate is probably between 30% and 50%, just disguised as late menstruation. There’s enough room for play there that if things go on long enough the woman has some excuses to fall back on.
But, really, you assume that the lying woman is going to eschew sex while she’s convincing the boyfriend that she’s pregnant? If she’s willing to purchase a stick another woman has pissed on and wave it in front of a boyfriend in order to extort a wedding out of him, do you think she has any intent to remain celibate and childless?
Since I was a stupid college frat boy womanizer, I have an answer for you, from personal experience; they suddenly have a "miscarriage", they "take care of it" at such a time when they've adequately played it out, or they extort for money for an "abortion". My male buddies and I had it all coming. (Undeservedly, however, one of them was falsely accused of rape after a one night stand. It made national news and about ruined his life. She was taken down by the DA, thankfully.)
Doesn’t this constitue conspiracy to defraud?
no big deal.....but if sure would show a lot of true colors now wouldn't it....
I remember there was an episode on Smallville where Lex had Lana convinced that he got her pregnant by messing up her hormones.
That's true.
It's also true that the women who willingly lay down for them are equally complicit. And they compound their wrong by engaging in lies and trickery.
okay is this the kind of woman a guy would just love to marry? and the marriage based on a total lie?
no thanky, spanky.
Unless we are talking about the Duke lacrosse case, or many other. Accusing women know that they are not very likely to be charged.
FBI reports from 1996 consistently put the number of "unfounded" rape accusations around 8%. In contrast, the average rate of unfounded reports for "Index crimes" tracked by the FBI is 2%.[15] [...]DiCanio (1993) states that while researchers and prosecutors do not agree on the exact percentage of false allegations, they generally agree on a range of 2% to 8%.[18] Edward Greer (2000) estimates a much higher percentage of false accusations. Writing in the Law Review of Loyola of Los Angeles, Greer writes:
"Despite the difficulties in measuring wrongful accusations, there is indirect data available that is highly suggestive that far more than two percent of rape accusations are false. In a significant fraction of instances, the accusers recant their charges; in others, where no formal recantation occurs but where rape may have occurred, there are good reasons to believe that the accusation must nevertheless be wrong about the identity of the assailant. One illustration of this phenomenon are the instances where DNA testing has determined that the man actually imprisoned for rape after trial was not the individual the victim claimed was the assailant."[19]
Another well known example is one Julian Assange.
So...you’re saying that women aren’t always the victim???/s
Or as the father of the girlfriend of a schoolmate told him, “I hope the [blanking] you got was worth the [blanking] you’re gonna get.”
