Whoever threw away perfectly good ammunition during this time of shortage and hardship should be HUNG!

This wouldn’t even make the coffee shop talk here. I guess the Chicago police and administration need to brag about something even if it means making much about nothing.
To: Yo-Yo
I see what you did there.
Don't waste precious ammo on shooting him.

Hanged.
Hung implies a genetic 'gift'.

Makes me wonder if this was a temporary holding point for a sale to someone in the “pharmaceutical trade”. Fingerprints might tell an interesting story.

Isn’t “live” ammo the same thing as “ammo”?
Once you use a bullet its really not ammunition anymore. I guess modifying it with the word live makes it sound more scary.... as if its a bomb ready to explode.

Looks like someone just tossed an old shotgun/22 rifle they didn’t want anymore. Likely some old woman that didn’t want it in the closet after her husband died.
You would be surprised what some people toss in the trash.
When I was young I worked for a guy that did hauling jobs, back before anyone ever heard of ‘garage sales.’
I found a a 45-70 Sharps rifle, several brand new BB guns, gold and diamond jewelry, all kinds of stuff that people paid to have hauled away.

Now wait a minute...
This would mean that someone *gasp* did not follow the law regarding registration of firearms and background checks.

If I have 160 rounds of ammo... I am pretty much out of ammo.

Jeez... my 11 year old nephew has 160 rounds of 22lr scattered around his bedroom under the bed, in the dresser, in his pants pockets on the floor....
I could probably scrounge around in my truck and find 100 rounds...

Neighbors found guns and ammo and called the cops? Whatever happened to take, hide and shut up?
Or maybe they thought they were “bait” guns (you know, like a bait car), setting them up for an illegal possession of firearms charge...

Isnt live ammo the same thing as ammo? Yes, but using the term "live ammo" is much more dramatic. It makes the stuff sound so much more menacing. The idiot news media do whatever they can to make the people fearful of anything to do with guns.
