It looks like an old exposed hammer shotgun, which would make it very questionable to shoot because of its age. The other appears to be a Marlin 70P .22.

160 rounds? Grin, I've got more than that in my night stand. Though admittedly it is nothing as rare as 22LR. Let's see, what's that on the corner of my desk here as I type this? A box of 250 rounds of Remington/UMC 9mm. What's that on the shelf beside my desk? A sealed tin of 500 rounds of .223...

160 rounds, yawn... This was probably a drop/holding point for someone that didn't want to get caught with it between crimes, or something that simply got thrown out by someone that didn't care about it. Either way, not exactly the police recovery of the year.

Tactical officers patrolling

“Tactical officers” sheesh. What a country we live in.

I guess that is a far cry from Peace Officers.

In my youth, I can remember reading how to properly dispose of ammunition, hose it down with wd40 and throw it away.

I can’t help but think, throwing away ammo is improper.

And a Scope.... let’s us not forget the Scope.

It might just kill someone; it’s SO-O-O-O-O deadly.

It’s like they think they’ve disarmed the Wehrmacht.

Isn’t “live” ammo the same thing as “ammo”?

There is “dead” ammo, as in dummy rounds, inert, or duds.

So “live” ammo has some application.
