I’m in the middle of this mess, and at 2am PT, am too wound up to sleep. I went thru the 2003 & 2007 San Diego wildfires; this set is crazy, unless you realize they’re no accident. One fire after another started all day Wednesday. Am convinced we have one or more firebug terrorists driving around throwing incendiary devices from a vehicle / vehicles. Large fire on Tuesday that was fought successfully. I think that outraged the terrorist(s), and for revenge, we’ve gotten one huge blaze after another. My guess is Earth Liberation Front (ELF) enviro nuts, who have made arson attacks in San Diego before. A number of the fires set adjacent to large, pricey homes in well to do areas, and three near the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base.
Absolutely. Odd are vanishingly small all of these fires were acts of nature or accidents. First thought is ROP or home grown terrorist cells running a coordinated plan.
