State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki was openly mocked by the assembled press corps Thursday after saying President Obama doesnt give himself enough credit for what hes done around the world.
Associated Press reporter Matt Lee asked sarcastically whether he deserved 200 percent credit, while another one wondered for what accomplishments Psaki meant he deserves more praise.
For engagement initiatives like Iran, what weve done on Ukraine, efforts to dive in and engage around the world, she said.
I mean, Russia has still annexed Crimea, another reporter asked. I mean, Iran theres ongoing negotiations, but is that the success here that youre talking?
Were talking about engagement in the world and taking on tough issues that present themselves, Psaki said. And the United States continues to play a prominent role doing that.
Full exchange:
JEN PSAKI: I would argue the president doesnt give himself enough credit for what hes done around the world, and thats how the secretary feels too. We would not be engaged in comprehensive negotiations with Iran, which is where the program is stalled and is rolling back, if it were not for the role of the United States, along with the P-5 plus one partners, certainly. Ukraine, weve been engaged more or as much as any other country in the world in supporting the elections process and supporting the government and supporting their efforts moving forward. Yes, theres more work that needs to be done. The point is, we need to continue to stay at it.
Q: But isnt this a potential mission accomplished situation?
PSAKI: Absolutely not.
Q: Jen, you would argue the president doesnt give himself enough credit? How much credit would you give him?
PSAKI: Well, I think what Im I would give him more than he has given himself. Thats what I just said.
Q: What, like, 200 percent credit?
PSAKI: So would the secretary.
Q: So and for and for
Q: Credit for what? Im sorry, credit for what?
Q: For what, yes, exactly? Thats the point.
Q: No, I mean, I dont I dont mean, like, he doesnt deserve credit.
Q: For the Iran negotiations?
Q: I mean I mean Im talking, what specifically are you talking he doesnt get enough credit for (inaudible)?
PSAKI: For engagement initiatives like Iran, what weve done on Ukraine, efforts to dive in and engage around the world.
(Cross talk.)
Q: I mean, Russia has still annexed Crimea. I mean, Iran theres ongoing negotiations, but is that the success here that youre talking?
PSAKI: Were talking about engagement in the world and taking on tough issues that present themselves. And the United States continues to play a prominent role doing that.
That's a critical success factor for that job.
Does that mean they were already sharing the same home?
After Woodrow Wilson proposed to the woman who became his second wife, the widow Edith Bolling Galt, there was a snarky rumor that when she heard his proposal, she was so surprised that she fell out of bed.

This is sad.
She has never held a real job in her life. Like a leach that one might pick up in the muddy waters of the La. bayou, she has been sucking her life blood from whatever politician is hot at the moment. Her biggest challenge everyday must be in ensuring the proper level of sucking up to whatever democratic leftist she is currently attached to...
The walls are crumbling for The One who had been waiting for himself...
Amen.
"This is, in fact, the most engaged federal administration currently in office in the entire United States," she continued, "and the current President the most engaged, tough-thinking President we've had in five years."
You can set the bar pretty low, but not without a shovel. Keep shoveling, dear.
BS.
OH; I understand now, she sucked her way to the top.
Jennifer (Jen) Psaki was named Department Spokesperson in February 2013. She previously worked for then-Senator Kerry nearly nine years ago on his presidential campaign as a Deputy Press Secretary and has worked in senior positions within the Obama Administration over the last five years.
To wrap it up, she is a clueless useful idiot whom hasn't worked an honest day in her life. DC is perfect for her and the other harpies the State Dept. trots out to defend the indefensible.
