The FBI is looking for a man who lives in the San Francisco apartment where agents found a large stash of what appears to be the deadly poison ricin.

On Saturday, FBI agents searched the apartment, which belongs to Ryan Chamberlain, according to KGO, an ABC affiliate. The FBI said Chamberlain could be armed and dangerous.

The apartment search was expected to resume Sunday.

Chamberlain owns a Nissan that reportedly could be rigged with explosives.

The FBI did not evacuate apartments during the search, and FBI spokeswoman Alice Heller said there was “no threat to public safety.” She said agents were wearing protective equipment for their safety.

You have to wonder if reporters just get spoon fed and don’t question anything the gov’t tells them.

.

Means he's NOT a right winger... If he owned a Nissan, had a kid's slingshot and 4 spitballs AND was a right winger he'd be considered dangerous.

That's the picture from his FB page... which is still up (the Feds normally scrub suspects' online stuff).

He appears to be a "normal" guy from SF... he supports gays, hates the climate change "deniers" and so on.

In an apartment? They grow to about 8 ft here.

Mom used to grow them. Nice looking plant. I would grow them, but being a prepper etc. I don't want the extra attention. Elephant Ears are nice.

Leading up to Saturday’s raid, Chamberlain remained active on social media, tweeting about sports, news and music.

Chamberlain studied political science at Iowa State University, according to the online biography.

Chamberlain is listed as a lecturer at the University of San Francisco, according to the university’s website. His profile touts his experience in journalism, public relations and marketing. USF was working to confirm if Chamberlain was an instructor, said Anne-Marie Devine, a spokeswoman for the university.

During the 2012 NFL season, Chamberlain was an independent contractor for The Chronicle and tweeted and posted links to Facebook to boost coverage for the San Francisco 49ers Insider iPad app.
