Why doesn't King Obama just get his Parliament to issue a Quartering Act and order the housing and feeding of illegals in the homes of American citizens.

"Perfectly legal; as a professor of Constitutional Law, I know that it only prohibits the quartering of soldiers in time of peace. It says nothing about not being able to quarter Unvisaed Visitors at any time. As a matter of fact, I finished signing the Executive Order, and am admiring my signature."

Will the Church pay for any diseases and treatments that these Catholics catch while housing the Obama foot soldiers? Every family who takes in illegals need to know the risk that they undertake and, frankly, the rest of us should avoid them until it is medically determined that they have not become infected or infested themselves.

Do I sense a little friction between the Obama Administration and a public employee’s union.

That you do. There is an outbreak of "blue flu" in Memphis and reports are that health insurance is an issue. His base is fracturing.

Anyone living in the areas marked with red triangles on that map of illegal immigrant placement areas should be very wary of sending their children to public school.

Do whatever it takes to protect American kids lives; private school, homeschool, whatever it takes.

Link to map with locations where illegals have been moved, and where they are being considered, and where the move has been blocked.

It’s not that they can’t “silence” everyone. It’s that if the MSM doesn’t pick up a story, it doesn’t gain the traction needed to force politicians to do what’s necessary.

You, me, Rush, Mark, Worldnet etc...can shout these things from the rooftops. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t become a THING - something people who don’t care about politics start to care and get angry about - unless the MSM makes it one.

For these disgraces - the border, the IRS etc...to be seen as such by the non-politically inclined, they have to be on the front page of every paper, talked about on CBS, ABC and NBC etc...and those outlets won’t do it because they’re ideologically opposed to it.

You can deny this truth all you want but that doesn’t change the truth.

You know what needs to be done? Some rich conservatives need to buy the NY Times, WaPo, CBS, ABC and start reporting the truth. We are going to get NOWHERE until that happens.
I don’t have that kind of scratch. Do you?

Local news would be different and if local news covers stuff others would be motivated and get loud. They can’t silence everyone.

I like the idea of starting small (local news) but the problem remains. For the most part, media sources have a liberal slant. They under-report / don’t report anything that makes Dems look bad. If they do report it, they do so as fast as possible and in the most positive light possible.

Nothing will change - at any level - as long as the liberals are in charge of the message. In the cases where local news stations aren’t liberal mouthpieces, where they play it down the middle or slant right, the local folks likely already recognize this and have either tuned them in or tuned them out (depending on the person’s political views).

Interesting point. Let me ask you a couple of questions.

Is politics more or less involved in every facet of life today than it was when Reagan was elected?

Is the media today more or less partisan toward liberals than it was then?

Did liberals hate Reagan and did he refuse to be muzzled?

Btw, why do you think this is a new situation? Eisenhower hated the press and the NY Times in particular.

The reason they get away with it is because people LET them. They have your attitude and don't fight back.

That’s the third time you’ve said this. It makes me wonder What are YOU doing to fight back? Not trying to start a fight with you just curious what movement you’re involved with / founded to fight liberal control of the message.

In any case, the point is media marketing is MUCH more prevalent today than it ever was and it’s intermingled with politics much more than it ever was. Why do you think it’s so easy for “journalists” and TV personalities to get jobs in political administrations now? Why are those types of career moves so prevalent? It’s because the “marketing” of politics is EVERYWHERE. It’s inescapable. The media industry is a 98% owned subsidiary of the Left, Fox, Drudge and talk radio notwithstanding.

They (the Left) control the message because they control the delivery systems. Their true believers are the ones who decide what messages are ok or not ok. They decide what stories are reported - or not. They decide what angle the stories should take.

Journalists have always been influential but this new marriage between every facet of media (internet, movie, tv, songs, magazine) slamming you with “OUR WAY IS THE RIGHT WAY OF THINKING” takes it to a whole new level.

Feel free to disagree but this is the truth - like it or not.

The right isn't organized like the left is. One of the few bastions of truth is FR. Jim is in Murrieta.........in a wheelchair, fighting back. This is what the right needs to be doing. Activism works but too many sit back and say "Nothing will change".

This is half of what we’re fighting against.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/censorship-38-journalism-groups-slam-obamas-politically-driven-suppression-of-news/article/2550647

The other half is the portion of “journalism” who willingly censor themselves and report the talking points they’re delivered as “news”.

I know what JIM is doing at the border. You criticized ME for talking without taking action (without knowing for a fact whether I had or not, by the way). We agree that pols and media types won’t change unless it impacts them financially or politically.

I’m asking YOU. What ACTION are you taking to make the change you want to see happen?

I'm house bound. I work the FReepathon to keep FR going. I do not get the local Communist Rag.

What are you doing?

I am in regular contact with my despicable representative (Tim Bishop) and mentally deficient Senators (Gillebrand and the detestable Chuck Schumer). That’s a nice way of saying I call them once a week to yell at their staffers. I also write letters to the editor of Newsday and attend local TEA party events.

Now that that’s out of the way...

While it’s a great outlet, complaining about things on FR is unlikely to affect change. Look, we all know news print media is dying...why aren’t any of the moneied conservatives buying some of these outlets for pennies on the dollar, changing the staff out and printing the truth?

Why is it that “our side” only owns Fox, the Washington Times and talk radio while “their side” owns virtually everything else? Where is the conservative money there?

I’d LOVE to buy these outlets and wipe them clean. If I had the money, I’d do it tomorrow. I don’t...and I don’t see the ones who have it doing so.

Maybe that’s the first step. Ask the conservatives with money - real money - why they aren’t doing this.

FR is an activist site. It always has been. It also exposes the left. As the original FReepers age and we lose them, fewer are taking a stand and staging protests. FR was never meant to be a site simply to complain. That was never it's purpose. Jim, Syncro and Owen Kellogg are doing what FR was meant to do, in Murrieta, organize and take a stand.
