You could probably offer up Harry Reid as the GOP candidate in 2016 and they’d love him just as much.

Great idea, fill the primaries with RINOs so Cruz can coast to the nomination as the only conservative.

FTA: "One comparison is to William Jennings Bryan, who won the Democratic nomination three times (1896, 1900, and 1908) but never reached the Oval Office."

That’s the thing.
We do NOT want one or two RINOS against a gaggle of conservatives.
If that happens we will see our guy (Cruz) go down by a multi way vote split.

IMHO, this country made a horrible mistake re-electing the Obamanation instead of Willard. We would be much better off right now with Willard as President.

That being said, the Republican party made a horrible mistake nominating Willard in 2012. It would be an even bigger mistake to nominate Willard again in 2016.

"Our candidate is not as bad as the Obamanation" is not a winning campaign slogan.

We will not defeat Hillary or whoever else the Democrat nominee may be by running a Hillary without the muumuu. We need a strong conservative that can inspire voters to go to the polls and take back the country. I honestly do not know who that is yet, but I know who it is not.

The left want Romney so they can tie Obamacare around his neck. The GOPe want Romneys blessing as king maker. The right want Ted Cruz.

I’m with the right.

They think they have to put someone out there that “looks how they want a president to look”. This is why you hear Romney and Jeb’s names.
