Legalized sodomy. Can legalized pedophilia be far behind?

It is a disorder BEFORE it is acted upon, after it is acted upon it is an UNFORGIVABLE SIN.

Normalization 1.1. Wait till version 2 comes along! Pretty soon we’ll be paying disability to pedophiles the way we pay it to drug abusers and street alcoholics now.

Shocked that they’re calling it a disorder and not a lifestyle choice.

Most likely, through school and into adulthood, your affections continued to focus on others in your approximate age group. But imagine if they did not. By some estimates, 1 percent of the male population continues, long after puberty, to find themselves attracted to prepubescent children. These people are living with pedophilia, a sexual attraction to prepubescents that often constitutes a mental illness.

Imagine if a tomboy did not stop being a tomboy.

Why is that not a "mental illness". These leftist sure are choosy with their "science", aren't they?

The NYT takes the view from the perspective of the deviant.

Then gives little to no weight to the victims of the deviant.

This view is so abhorent that I can only conclude that the author and the author’s editor are perverts.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders …
. . . is an ever-changing joke that the left tries to convince everyone is the be-all-and-end-all of human mentality.

“Your honor, I raped the child because I have a disorder! You can’t blame me!”

It sucks to see a lawyer talk about how the LAW is not serving pedophiles - the LAW is supposed to PREVENT pedophiles from attacking children.

a classic tactic by the immoral left. legitimize first by removing immoral acts from the catagory of sin and putting them into the category of disease (i.e., something that is not voluntary). they probably did that with pornography, too. first make it a “disorder” then make it a necessary treatment tool and then finally start lauding it as a virtue.

But they were BORN that way.

They had no choice.

Who are we to criticize? (Until following CW-II, of course.)

To the braindead Left, all crime should be treated as an affliction, not punished like a crime. One can only hope that they themselves are the primary victims of the crimes that they consider to be merely acts requiring therapy.

Paedophilia is not a crime. Acting on the paedophilic impulse is a heinous crime.

Nothing gets done without politics.

It doesn’t help when the NAMBLA spokesman describes himself as a Libertarian in an interview with Spy magazine.

This 2008 Time article may explain more on that.

“The fracas started with Mary J. Ruwart, the candidate with perhaps the deepest, purest libertarian roots”

“In April, a rival called her out for her thoughts in a 1999 book called Short Answers to the Tough Questions. “Children who willingly participate in sexual acts have the right to make that decision as well, even if it’s distasteful to us personally,” Ruwart wrote. “When we outlaw child pornography, the prices paid for child performers rise, increasing the incentives for parents to use children against their will.”
