What do you do when you dont have Congress? Keep the regulations coming.
The Obama administration is preparing another active year of executive action in 2015, pumping out new rules and enforcing others for the first time setting tougher standards on everything from air pollution to overtime pay to net neutrality, food safety, commercial drones, a college ratings plan and a crackdown on for-profit colleges that dont prepare their students for well-paying jobs. Theres even going to be the first draft of a rule for organic pet food.
And, of course, there will be more executive actions to move forward on other initiatives as well like the new measures President Barack Obama is set to announce on Friday to help more people go to college.
The rules and regulations will set up more confrontation with a newly unified Republican Congress, which will use all of the tools at its disposal to try to stop individual policies and blast the Obama administration for being too rule-happy in general. The new rules will get merged, generally, with the GOPs complaints about about Obamas executive actions on immigration their view that hes a go-it-alone president whos ready to fire off executive actions on whatever he wants without listening to Congress.

Nah, no confrontation from the gop. McConnell said no confrontation.
If the States don’t grow some and start asserting the 10th Amendment, we are screwed royally.

You can say that again.
They are following the “European Model.” It is done all the time over there.
According to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ginsberg we should be checking European countries laws before deciding applications of our own. What they allow we should allow...what they ban we should ban.....never mind our own laws....
What could go wrong with Executive orders that supersede the legislature? In fact why do we even need a legislature???
Hitler, a “socialist” just like our current Resident” used this sort of logic to overthrow the Weimar Republic and rejuvenate Germany in the 1930’s from it’s economic woes and the from the social injustices among various social/ethnic groups. So I repeat “what could go wrong?”
Do I really need a /s at the end?
I’ve been in among those people—they want to see higher education turned into something like Nazi Germany or Scandinavia, &c.—free college, paid for, of course, by the taxpayer.
(I’m a recovering leftist—in remission since 2012)
Tradition says that Tiberius as often as he left the Senate, used to exclaim in Greek, “How ready these men are to be slaves.” Clearly, even he, with his dislike of republican freedom, was disgusted at the abject abasement of his creatures. - Tacitus, The Annals.
Cont’d.
But of course my brother’s kid goes to a “good” pulbik skool. They don’t wanna hear anything bad about pulbik skoolz. Oh no this one’s good.
Good on ya’. I faced a similar situation with my God daughter being taught the same thing.
