Parents are outraged after a pack of California Cub Scouts on a nature hike ended up on a nude beach.
The group of fourth graders, parents and volunteers was hiking along the San Diego coastline on Jan. 24 when they stumbled upon dozens of naked people at the clothing optional Black's Beach.
One of the scouts' mothers said, "I was nauseated because I had never seen a bunch of nude people just walking around holding hands, strange people that I don't know."

OK. I can see a Cub Scout stumbling upon one or two people, but dozens? Bunch of clumsy cub scouts.
“Honest, Mrs. Smith! I stumbled and fell on that naked lady. I put my hands out to break my fall and grabbed her, well, chests.”
In my lifetime I have been to one nude beach. A few of us doing a long beach walk that had no idea there was a nude beach near us we quickly turned around because we were over dressed of course.
I've also stayed at a Hotel that had a "clothing optional" adult pool and it was the only one with the bar.
Both times I can tell you most of the people engaging in the serious communing with nature that goes on at these places are people you absolutely do not want to see doing so.
However there were a few roses nestled among all those thorns.
Probably far more so than when I lived there in the eighties.
From what I gather, the city has gone total homosexual with mayors, fire chiefs, etc.
I expect Black's is a regular orgy of homo-sex these days. It was notorious when SD was somewhat still a normal city.

Well if my Cub scout troop had been like that I would've definitely stayed in and went all the way to Eagle Scout!
Under the new Scouting perameters....the woodie merit badge has been re-instated.
Everyone in San Diego knows about Blacks Beach.
I have been to Black’s Beach on a geological field trip. It is not a nude beach. It is a nude homo beach. Dudes sulking behind the bushes. Nekkid surfing. Wind chimes attached to sensitive places to attract customers. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. The one girl in the group turned around and walked the five miles back to the vehicles when she saw the freak show.
Clearly she never attended a University.
It was probably like that nude beach in the movie EuroTrip.
Indeed, Black's Beach is known nationwide.
Who planned their nature hike?
Someone with a devilish sense of humor.

“Johnny...take a milkshake and see if you can get him to come back and make some crafts.”

I’m not involved with BSA anymore, but that was either intentional grooming by the leader or a hugely bad job of planning. Either way, I think the leader should be removed.
We did a backpack trip once that included a long stretch of secluded beach, about 8 miles. I was concerned enough that I and the other leader kept a pretty sharp watch out for that kind of stuff. Didn’t have to worry about it.
Well, we never got the message about Blacks Beach up here.
Imagine my surprise when I was there on vacation and asked if anyone had a Sea Cucumber. They never talked about that place on those Jacques Cousteau specials.
“Look, Phillipe, the natives seem to be wrestling. Sacre Bleu! It’s the Harvard Law School!”
No kidding, Black’s beach has been famous as a nude beach for decades, I used to do my night time, solo cliff climbing there by the hang gliding area.
“Black’s Beach in San Diego is the largest nude beach in the United States and is popular with Southern Californian nudists and naturists. Originally including the current Torrey Pines State Beach, Black’s Beach was the first and only public nude beach in the country for several years in the mid-1970s. Because Black’s Beach was traditionally recognized as a clothing optional beach, nudity is tolerated for the portion of the beach that is managed by the state park. Until 1977, the city portion of Black’s Beach was posted as “swimsuit optional”; in that year, nudity was prohibited on that part of the beach.”
Who planned their nature hike?
Either a straight scout leader or a gay scout leader who wanted the boys, and himself, to see ding a lings.

Exactly! Black’s Beach is very well known all up and down the California coast. Just like Davenport, just above Santa Cruz.
