Its nice to see someone who refuses to play the game.

Sadly the GOP has created the situation by stumbling all over themselves in a rush to apologize for everything.

I’ve read the entire piece that Costa and Belz wrote. It’s the kind of stuff you’d expect from kids of a college newspaper. Maybe the Post lowered their standards or just were looking for some ‘hit-piece’....but they ended up looking like marginal journalism.

As for Scott Walker? I think he’s ready for Iowa and just about anything that the national press can throw at him.

I would like the whole GOP field to take a page from Newt Gingrich and just turn this stuff back on the media --

"Do you work for a college paper? That's a very amateur question. Do you follow politics? Why not ask me something that is actually relevant to the office of the president?"

"It sounds like that question was written by Valerie Jarrett. Seriously: do the questions you're asking have to be vetted through the Obama administration?"

"You sure seem to be trying to prop up the Political Elite in Washington DC. I'll tell you, I think the American people are tired of that game, and they want to bring this country back to the real world of taking care of families and businesses, not just taking care of the Powerful people."

Finally, someone who doesn’t fall for these tired old games. Can’t believe it’s taken this long. Sarah could have done herself a big favor by handling these jackals the same way. I think her big mistake was trying to be nice to them, unfortunately thats impossible.

SW has the eye of the tiger. I have complete confidence in him to continue to advance to the very top. I have already donated and look forward to helping him in every way possible.

Re the MSM:

They have been - have made themselves a fundamental threat to the (sic)
democracy and in my opinion made themselves the enemy of the American
people, and it is a threat to the very future of this country...

Pat Caddell

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will
eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for
such time as the State can shield the people from the political,
economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes
vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress
dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by
extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

A useful response might be, “Belief isn’t necessary when you can get the answer from the source. If you think the answer’s important, go ask Barack Obama what he is. If you think it is not important, why are you asking me?”

At a minimum, it’s an incredibly stupid and inappropriate question to ask anyone other than the target of the question. Why don’t they ask Obama?

It won't be long before the media are referring to Walker as the wily Scott Walker.

They may run out of adjectives to describe him. This is a recent thread/article:

He hasn't taken the bait on evolution or Guiliani's comment.

Good. Those are media traps along the same line as Steffie's question to Romeny during the debate about states banning contraceptions. Romney bit and it came back to bite him in the rear.

The idiots at the Washington Post stumbled into a modified Streisand effect.

They were trying to pull a ‘gotcha’ moment on Walker, when instead they have created a mini media storm where people all over the world are questioning whether Obama loves America, whether he’s a Christian, and whether he’s fit for the job.

Too bad Walker couldn’t respond with the “NO” that I am sure he really believes.

Tells volumes that a question like that even could even be asked.

>> it’s abundantly clear Scott Walker will not be presshandled

This ability is crucial for a Republican candidate.
