Dear Supreme Court,

The law isn’t a popularity contest. That occurs in the Legislature. You simply rule on the law and precedent. Rule wisely.

You expressed this very well. The court is not supposed to rule for homosexual marriage because some companies or politcians feel it is a good policy decision. Yet that is exactly what these people are urging the court to do.

To me, events such as this sadly show that people really don’t understand what the role of the courts is. And honestly they don’t care about that. They just are thinking one dimensionally that they favor homosexual marriage, for whatever reason, and they want the court to act as a.legislature and decree that we will have 50 state homosexual marriage. No desire to go thru the legislative process on how marriage is defined under the law. These liberal minded people want the courts to act as a super legislature.

To me, its sad that so many don’t understand about separstion of powers, our constitutional system, and that they don’t care. They think its all good as long as the courts deliver an outcome which liberals want to see.
