Big business has come out in favor of same-sex marriage.
Exactly 379 corporations and employer organizations urged the Supreme Court to strike down state bans on gay marriage, according to a friend-of-the-court brief obtained by The Huffington Post. The document was expected to be filed late Thursday morning.
Employers are better served by a uniform marriage rule that gives equal dignity to employee relationships, reads the brief, filed by global law firm Morgan Lewis. Allowing same-sex couples to marry improves employee morale and productivity, reduces uncertainty, and removes the wasteful administrative burdens imposed by the current disparity of state law treatment.
The list, provided in full below, includes corporate behemoths such as Coca-Cola Company, Goldman Sachs, Google and Morgan Stanley. It also includes brands like Ben & Jerrys, a division of Unilever, and sports teams such as the New England Patriots, the San Francisco Giants and the Tampa Bay Rays.

300 Republicans petition U.S. Supreme Court to support gay marriage
Let me put it this way.

Dear Supreme Court,
The law isn’t a popularity contest. That occurs in the Legislature. You simply rule on the law and precedent. Rule wisely.
Mob rule...just perfect.
Doesn’t matter what laws have been passed...the corporations demand it, the corporations will get it.
Meet your new masters America!
How did a group who makes up no more than 3% of the population get so much absolute power?
How about a list of people who are AGAINST it?
Thanks

Here Are The 379 Companies——not too mention the thousands of blood sucking scumbag divorce lawyers.
This is more a testament to a focused public relations triumph of a lobby that as recently as 2 decades ago would have hooted at the very idea. And it still will not sell well from the viewpoint of how many will do it.
I think it sold as well as it did because straights were already well asleep at the wheel. They didn’t care about shack ups. So what did they have to oppose these proposals with? Nothing but hypocrisy would have been left.
San Francisco Giants??? I am shocked!

Corps are soulless, for the most point. What was in this for them?
You do not need to avoid the whole list. Just pick one. Coca-Cola would a good choice.
most point => most part
Is Pepsi less gay?
More than one year ago, the fascists at Target went full throttle on the issue.
Haven’t shopped there since.
Target just announced mass layoffs.
#justsaying.
And it’s a shame because Coke is a good quality cola. But when it gets to the point that you can pretty well know that X% of their sales constantly goes to this folly as though it were a tax, it becomes a conscience issue.
