Which Republican will run against Rep. Schakowsky? I hope a conservative will announce, for that race, this month.

Unlike leftists, we Tea Partiers welcome Orthodox Jews, or any other kind.

I took the liberty of correcting a few minor errors as follows:

“That explains a lot.”

Having had a grandfather who was from Lithuania, and a father from Chicongo, I must point out that while my family was, and is, very attached to their faith and the Constitution, IF one’s family was true, Blue, Chicongo Jew - then one would be at risk of going ‘Full Jungle’ as did the JAP under discussion.

I see you ran against her as a write-in last year, Phil. It’s a difficult district for Republicans, as you know. 2/3rds Dem seat. Last elected a Republican in 1946, who promptly lost to Sidney Yates in 1948. No GOP challenger has received over 40% of the vote since 1966. In the almost 50 years since, only one challenger has gotten to 36%, and that was future 8th district Congressman Joe Walsh in 1996 running against 87-year old Yates for his final term.

The GOP nominee last year, Susanne Atanus, was an embarrassment who said God sends autism as punishment for gay marriage.

Her primary opponent was a Paulbot who had been a democrat (voted for Obama in 2008) but he was the lesser evil in this instance.

I’m glad Phil offered voters an alternative in November.

I had no idea Walsh ran against Yates in ‘96.

She looks like an Italian Mafioso Capo. If the Lord was sending autism as a punishment for gay marriage (which has only popped up in the last 2 decades), what does she envision His excuse was prior to that ? Of course, she’s likely no worse than most members of the CBC (of whom I doubt have any members to cross a three-digit threshold, save the GOP members).

Obviously, not serious candidates. Are there even any Republicans in lower office in this district ?

She looks like this teacher I had for English in 5th grade. Except she was like 4’11 or something, creepy little roly poly witch. She taught me what a “predicate nominative” is.

They were some very bad GOP house candidates for safe rat seats, Suz and that crossdresser dude in Cali took the cake.

Matt Murphy’s Senate district (partially) and David Harris’ House district (mostly) overlap the district. Arlington Heights, the most Republican part of the seat.
Peter Silvestri’s and Gregg Goslin’s County board seats as well. They aren’t gonna run though.

Plenty of local level people in some of those suburbs, I’m sure.

I’d love to see the last Gov race by Congressional district.

If my estimates are correct (big if, lol) Bush in 2004 would have gotten 36%-37%, not good. A windmill to tilt at.

Under the 2002-12 lines in the 9th, Bush got 32% in 2004 and McQueeg got a whopping 26%.

And McQueeg was 30% under the new lines so I estimate Bush at 36%.

Neither math nor grammar is my forte. ;d

“Under the 2002-12 lines in the 9th, Bush got 32% in 2004 and McQueeg got a whopping 26%.”

Curiously, to add, I thought those numbers sounded familiar to another 9th district. Memphis’ TN 9th is just a few clicks difference. Bush got 30% in ‘04 and McCain got 22% in ‘08. Of course, unlike in IL-9, this district was Republican in the more recent era, having been GOP from 1967-75 (absent Watergate, the incumbent Dan Kuykendall would’ve lasted until 1977, but a special redistricting done for 1976 would’ve done him in). Senior Ford got a scare in 1994 by a Black Republican which was enough to cause him to retire and groom his son for the Presidency which went nowhere.

The demographics in TN-9, however, shifted dramatically, since it was a half and half district until about 1976. Had Whites not moved out en masse (creating the suburban areas in No MS), it might still be competitive. It was 63% Black, 27% White in 2010. Contrasted with IL-9, which was 61% White in 2010 under the old lines (with the remainder being 14% Asian; 13% Hispanic & just 10% Black). If IL-9 didn’t feature wealthy leftist moonbats amongst its White pop, the seat would probably be Republican.

I’ve been posting in this thread and didn’t even look to see what the details of the subject were.

What a (w)itch, she’s ragging on her opponent from 2010 whom she crushed? Really? He must have gotten under her skin.

Joel Pollak has been somewhat high profile as a columnist and working for Breitbart. I forgot if he was a FReeper, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he lurked here. He’s one of those few candidates for office whom is better than the constituents for which he is seeking to represent. Jan Schakowsky hates him because he’s a real Jew and pro-Zionist. Everything she isn’t.

Speaking of the antisemite....

“Creamer resigned from Citizen Action/Illinois after the FBI began investigating him for bank fraud and tax evasion at Illinois Public Action. He was convicted in 2006 and sentenced to five months in federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, plus eleven months of house arrest.”

(From HuffPo) :”Robert Creamer has been a political organizer and strategist for four decades. He and his firm, Democracy Partners, work with many of the country’s most significant issue campaigns. He was one of the major architects and organizers of the successful campaign to defeat the privatization of Social Security. He has been a consultant to the campaigns to end the war in Iraq, pass universal health care, pass Wall Street reform, change America’s budget priorities and enact comprehensive immigration reform. He has also worked on hundreds of electoral campaigns at the local, state and national level — and served as a consultant to the DNC and President Obama’s campaigns in 2008 and 2012. Creamer is married to Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky from Illinois. Arianna Huffington calls his book, Stand Up Straight: How Progressives Can Win, a master’s class in electoral politics.”
