Walker came out and said there would be no such law in Wisconsin. The more I hear about Walker the less I like him.
If I didn’t believe that stupidity was always the most likely choice, I would think that opposition to the gay agenda was being choreographed to be deliberately ineffectual.

I saw a post here not long ago where the writer told Christians that they must be prepared to be martyrs in opposing gay marriage, and the bakers and photographers cases come to mind. And when they do sacrifice their businesses there's always a bunch of ‘way to go's here.
But this is a perfect example of the problem with sacrificing for this fight, Pence went further than the others but he signed this bill late at night no publicity and when he tries to defend it he is too scared to make the case as to exactly why this is needed and what it does and doesn't do.
Is it possible to get voters to take the side of the bakers and photographers who don't want to be forced to serve same sex marriages ? Will we ever know?

Another pet peeve I have is false equivalencies that convert no-one to the cause.
Demanding that a flowerist sell the same flowers to a same sex couple (for a wedding) as they do opposite sex couples is not the same as demanding that a Jewish baker bake swastikas or a Muslim restaurant serve pork.
They are just not the same and nondiscrimination laws don’t treat them the same.
Political fights require arguments that are useful OUTSIDE of the choir , unless the idea is to lose.

They support it because libs convinced them that gays are equivalent to different races being discriminated against for their race, also that allowing the same sex to marry is a liberty issue, and that it hurts no-one.
