The worstest feature of that whole event was that with all the shots fired the cops didn’t take out the Tsarnaev kid and spare us all from the farce of a trial.

Giving the Keystone Cops automatic weapons is a good approximation of what happened in Boston. Not surprising considering the panicky responses we have come to expect when big city police departments feel they are at risk. Remember the LA cops spraying bullets at random citizen’s vehicles when looking for the cop killer?
If we refuse to learn from mistakes we will keep on making them.
Yes, it is worth noting that the guy was found because a citizen noticed something awry regarding his boat, where Joker was hiding. He wasn’t found because of the excessive cordoned off area and police search.
Why are you surprised? These are the same people that voted for the Kennedys for several decades. They believe that governments have rights, not citizens. Oh, how Massachusetts has fallen from the days of the Revolution, when men like Sam Adams lived there.

Guess I had a similar reaction with 9/11...just find and bring to justice whoever did it. I would have joined the military the next day if I hadn’t been over the age limit.
Maybe you are right, maybe that is more an emotional response than rational—just find them. But if it had happened in my city instead of Boston, I would most likely have been even more provoked. So, yes, I admit...I was very glad and relieved when he was captured and off the streets of Boston. And I wasn’t keyed in on their possible mistakes in the process. With hindsight they will learn and improve their methods.
A lot of those residents in triple deckers were college students. Just imagine the amount of marijuana that was flushed down the toilets as those kids saw the cops working their way down the street. LOL

How could they afford to do that? The family was getting more than $100,000 a year in welfare, housing, food, unemployment, and scholarships. Plus Speedbump was dealing drugs and Momma was shoplifting thousands of dollars from the mall.
