Google introduced a feature earlier this year that lets users download their entire search history, but some have pointed out that you can also completely delete it, which might be a good decision from a security or data tracking standpoint.
According to Venture Beat, Google released this download feature in January, but it just recently got attention when it made it onto the Google Operating System blog, which is an unofficial Google news and tips website.

I suppose if you’re trying to keep your wife or parents from snooping your search history, it could be useful. But it’s not gonna stop the Feds. (Oh, unless your name is Hillary. In which case it will ABSOLUTELY stop the Feds, not only from looking but from even thinking about looking. ‘Cause it’s really magical that way.)

Hmmm....I just tried to log in and eventually was told “This account was deleted and is no longer recoverable.” I stopped using Google a long time ago, and I have tried to rid everything I use of it. Opera always wants me to use Google, but I use DuckDuckGo.
