On a panel promoting pre-Kindergarten programs at a conference recently in Austin, Texas, a pair of government officials–one local, one federal–made their case.
Representing the City of New York, Richard Buery suggested that employing universal preschool is the number-one issue for Mayor Bill de Blasio.
To critics of increasingly centralized learning schemes, Buery had something to say. “There are people who do not want us to succeed for a variety of reasons,” he acknowledged. “People speak ill of government so often.” But apparently there is nothing about which to worry because “[g]overnment is doing big things for people.” Far-left Democrats “control the levers of government,” stated Buery proudly. Perhaps Mayor De Blasio can console himself with that thought the next time he gets booed at a Mets game.
The U.S. Department of Education’s Libby Doggett thanked Congress for its latest budget appropriation. However, not all is well. “With the political winds the way that they are,” Doggett noted, it is imperative that universal pre-K is implemented immediately.
While “recently in Alabama, of all places,” relayed Doggett condescendingly, she discovered that the Yellowhammer State has an early educational platform. Governor Robert Bentley, a Republican, reportedly promises to have every four-year-old enrolled in preschool.
More money is another bureaucratic battle cry. Doggett complained of having to educate on a so-called shoestring. “Quality [education] costs,” she asserted, adding that America must “get more investment in this underfunded field.” In this public servant’s mind pre-Kindergarten schooling ought to be funded normally, “through really good taxpayer dollars.” If only really good taxpayers had any.
I’ve mentioned this on earlier threads, but I think it bears repeating here. One of the more disturbing parts of the novel “Nineteen Eighty-Four” involved Winston meeting an adult couple he knew who were now imprisoned along with himself. The father told of how their kids were trained to be informants for the government and the kids promptly then reported their mother and father for alleged conspiracy against Big Brother. Maybe it’s just me, but I think of this often when I read stories and comments concerning US Democrats and Canadian Liberals and NDP and education and kids.
This is just gov funded day care, which is what pub schools are effectively. Because of that, many folks will want this. They’re more interested in the day care than the schooling because they figure it’ll cost them less out of pocket.
College is just day care with sex and alcohol for most.
Education funding could probably be cut in half at this point.
The intent of Kindergarten was to prepare children for FIRST grade. If kindergarten doesn’t do a good enough job, there is no reason to give the state more years.
Here, the teens who can’t keep their knees together can leave their babies - 3 yo from sun up to sun down at school to babysit for them. Then it’s on to pre-K and Kindergarten. Strange how some of us parents actually parented our children without once having to depend upon the rest of society to raise them for us. No, it doesn’t take a village.
No. The Prussian invention of Kindergarten was created for the purpose of the destruction of parental bonding and to destroy Individualism for the Collective “group think” happy slavery. Extreme child labor laws were created for the same thing—to destroy the Natural Family and Individualism and Virtue (Excellence).
Individualism (uniqueness of all humans) and true self-esteem only occurs in people who are NOT removed from their biological mother and father in early childhood-—who have loving ROLE MODELS who embed the proper emotions to concepts with the understanding of Truth/Natural Laws, which can only come from the Natural Family unit which reinforces the proper EMOTIONS of love for parents (all human beings) which schools intentionally destroy.
I dare everyone to watch youtube videos on Feral children. Institutionalized children are destroyed in every sense of the word—particularly their intellect and Virtue. All animals removed from their “mothers” or Natural Environment too early creates warped behaviors and warped perceptions, animals who will never mature to be what God designed them to be..
Operant conditioning only, is all that early childhood experiences are, even in daycares, which form Worldview for Life. It was ESSENTIAL as Lenin knew to create ‘daycare factories” for the purpose of destroying the family bonding which dehumanize children, and controls all perceptions in artificial environments.
Remove the emotions/experiences of young childhood which create Virtue and Common Sense (Real Life experience, where one is autonomous and can master the environment WITHOUT being dependent and being directed 24/7 to condition dependency and emasculate boys particularly.....controlling all you do and say and having “peers” laugh at you and ostracize you when you “think” outside the box (destroy future true American genius).
Unlike Europe, who had a top-down Prussian system to dehumanize children and destroy Autonomy, Individualism and Virtue (put them into boarding schools, (dehumanization) so the State could control their minds and worldview, creating ignorant people with NO Common Sense, who know nothing and fear going against government (popular culture controlled by the elite sodomites)..
Only Classical Education gives children the tools to use Reason and Logic (Great Books/Bible) and without that Knowledge and Wisdom there can be no critical thinking (Reason); it is all emotional “thinking”. And Reason was NEVER possible to instill until a child is over 8 years old. In America, young children were never removed from the family and school was voluntary. Parents were crucial to true humane “education” as the Catholic Canon states is necessary (when they were real Catholics), they NEVER had “kindergartens” which were considered evil and unnatural and which destroyed Common Sense and understanding of Reality. (Warps emotions in artificial ways).
The ability to Love only comes from examples of Love and sacrifice and the biological parents doing their sacrificial Natural Duty of raising and educationing their own children is what created the minds which created the USA. It was not possible with tribal minds (ignorant of all Classical History which created abstract, critical thinking). Nor was it possible with children who were discarded or raised by the State (Hitler Youth minds).
Fichte stated (Germany in 1810) that schools had to get the child away from their biological parents (pure Marxist ideology) so that the dehumanization which occurs-—the lack of unique human interaction which creates Individualism, the ability to Trust, Love and loyalty is completely destroyed. Arendt used the term, “banality of Evil” to describe the type of “Virtue” in the German conditioned minds.
Children learn one on one and by doing and it should be SELF-DIRECTED which is the ONLY true education.
Pastor Bonhoeffer’s mother didn’t allow ANY of her children to enter the “Prussian” system before the age of 8 years old. She had her children (all brilliant thinkers outside the box) tutored (one on one (total focus)—no distractions and wasting of time, and pure Classical Education)- She stated that two things in Germany (in early 1900s) destroyed the Souls of the Germans: The Prussian system of schools and the military.
As GK Chesterton knew in the early 1900s: The mandatory school system was created to destroy the Common Sense of the Common People.
The elites do NOT immerse their darlings in the system that they created for the ignorant masses. They do not want competition and they want YOUR kids to be “happy slaves” for the State only. The rich have private tutors and NEVER allow their children in these group think factories which don’t have Classical Education.
No “schooling” created the minds of Lincoln and only several years of “schooling” after age 8 created the minds of Mark twain and Franklin and Jefferson or Adams, etc.. Education comes from within the child-—it can’t be forced into the brains of children who fear to “think” outside the box.
Beware of putting your children in front of screens for long periods. It is also dehumanizing and destroys that needed interaction/practice with humans and shuts down neuron formation connecting the two sides of the brain, and it reinforces instant gratification (destroys Virtue formation which comes from Real Life interactions which include learning to control REAL emotions when dealing with REAL people). Machine interactions are always dehumanizing to a degree-— which creates artificial emotions removed from Reality.
A friend of mine told me that her daughter had an English prof at a community college make these claims (among many other crazy statements):
-The Great Awakening was a hoax
-The Puritans came to America to persecute the Salem witches
-The Atomic bomb was dropped in WWII, not on Japan, but on the Congo.
Apparently their book had a quote made by someone from the Congo regarding the dropping of the atomic bomb and the teacher gleaned from that that the bomb was dropped onto the Congo. An English teacher who cant read, and doesn’t know any history, imagine that.)
My friend’s daughter was homeschooled and of course thought this was all hilariously stupid, but as parents we realized probably 90% of kids couldn’t tell this garbage from anything approaching history.)
The downward decline of communist indoctrination in stupidity has gone from a steady downward slope the last 40 years, to a straight down freefall in the last 5-6 years. It’s mind boggling how fast a country can be destroyed through destroying its education of youth.

Unfortunately in his early stage of the American experiment, Jefferson didn't comprehend the ability of those who feed from the base appetites of the tyrannical majority to subvert and seize control over the mechanisms of achieving that "GENERAL PLAN".
