Some background on John Ehrlich, long time collaborator (along with his wife Anne Ehrlich) with Obama's Science and Technology Adviser, John P. Holdren.

Progressive policies are squeezing the life out of the economy, they are on the home stretch - John P. Holdren wants to "de-develop the country"

"“Resources must be diverted from frivolous and wasteful uses in overdeveloped countries to filling the genuine needs of underdeveloped countries," Holdren and his co-authors wrote. "This effort must be largely political, especially with regard to our overexploitation of world resources, but the campaign should be strongly supplemented by legal and boycott action against polluters and others whose activities damage the environment. The need for de-development presents our economists with a major challenge. They must design a stable, low-consumption economy in which there is a much more equitable distribution of wealth than in the present one. Redistribution of wealth both within and among nations is absolutely essential, if a decent life is to be provided for every human being.” - White House Science and Technology Adviser, John P. Holdren.

2009: The Electronic Journal of Sustainable Development: The Population Bomb Revisited - by Paul Ehrlich and Anne Ehrlich

"....Some of the lowest birthrates are now found in the rich, fully industrialized nations of Europe and in Japan. That’s fortunate in one respect because it is the high-consuming rich nations that place the greatest pressure on humanity’s staggering life-support systems (Ehrlich and Holdren 1971, Ehrlich and Ehrlich 2005).

The big exception is the United States, which is a center of over-consumption and whose population continues growing because of a relatively high birthrate (average family size about 2.1 children, compared with 1.4 in Italy and Spain and 1.3 in Germany and Japan) and high immigra-tion rate (4 per thousand, with Italy the same, Spain 7, Germany 0, and Japan 0). The nation has recently been in the strange position of debating immigration policy without ever discussing population policy...."

February 19, 2015: GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP NECESSARY & POSSIBLE?

"With the continued buildup of greenhouse gases and the continued apathy of governments towards the lethal results of human population growth, Paul and Anne Ehrlich believe that a potential environmental storm is building up to bring down civilization....

..... Can much of the world population come to understand that humanity’s current dilemmas of environmental destruction, inequities, unemployment, and declining democracy, are not largely an accidental result of cultural evolution, but are rather mostly the consequences of deliberate planning, by those in charge, to increase their own wealth and power? Can they move dramatically to close the gap between the rich and poor that is especially dramatic in developing nations, and growing in many rich ones, especially the United States?....

[SNIP]

.....The MAHB’s [mahb.stanford.edukey] strategy is threefold: foster collaboration between natural scientists and social scientists to better understand the issues; build understanding of what we call ‘foresight intelligence’—the ability of individuals, institutions, governments, and society to act (behave) in ‘future smart’ ways; and engage civil society (individuals and organizations), already concerned about collapse, in ways that ‘strengthen’ the political impact of their endeavors. In short, the MAHB’s main goal could be said to help generate a bottom-up program to produce large numbers of global citizens, who, in turn might be able to divert society from its suicidal course. The odds of success seem small, but what choice does any ethical person have but to try?"

1: The global warming crap is failing ergo a new crisis.

Research grants for studying faked crisis are much bigger than for just studying things as they are.

Jan 2014 “In Searching For A New Enemy To Unite Us, We Came Up With The Threat Of Global Warming”

"“The common enemy of humanity is man. In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.“ – Club of Rome, premier environmental think-tank, consultants to the United Nations

“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsiblity to bring that about?” – Maurice Strong, founder of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP)

[SNIP]

"..The Club Of Rome’s 1972 environmental best-seller “The Limits To Growth”, examined five variables in the original model: world population, industrialisation, pollution, food production and resource depletion.

Not surprisingly, the study predicted a dire future for mankind unless we ‘act now’ :

Around the same time, influential anthropologist and president of the American Medical Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Margaret Mead, gathered together like-minded anti-population hoaxsters at her 1975, North Carolina conference, “The Atmosphere: Endangered and Endangering”. Mead’s star recruits were climate scare artist Stephen Schneider, population-freak George Woodwell and former AAAS head, John Holdren (currently President Barack Obama’s Science and Technology Czar). All three of them disciples of Malthusian catastrophist Paul Ehrlich, author of the “The Population Bomb”.

The conference concluded that human-produced carbon dioxide would fry the planet, melt the ice caps, and destroy human life. The idea being to sow enough fear of man-made climate change to force global cutbacks in industrial activity and halt Third World development.......

"The sixth mass extinction on Earth has officially begun and could threaten humanity's existence...

..... Damn .... that's all we need is another Extinction Level Event!!!. Although .... I bet if Barack Obama supported it ..... John Boehner and certain Republicans would whole heartedly back him up on it giving him the power to do so.

Moral of the story: Live, love, drink or whatever you like to do but do it often cause no one gets out alive.

Only a massive decrease in the planets population can help now. Something like 3/4 of the people will have to go. One half to simply stop the degeneration and rapid over consumption of resources which include sea life and fresh water for the growth of food.

Only human action can stop human action from destroying the planet. And leftist see no logical faults with that statement. How about some humane inaction from the totalitarian statist of the world.

Scientists have known for sometime that some species of animals just stop reproducing. Despite normal mating habits and none signs of pollution or disease, that reproduction on a species level can come to a screeching halt.

If these animals were not already under pressure naturally there is nothing on earth we could do to get rid of them (think cockroaches)

Man can speed up the process of extinction but can not and does not cause the factors which threatened them to begin with.

The highest rates of population growth are in 3rd world countries. The more miserable and polluted countries are, the higher the birth rate.

Since the developed countries have the lowest birthrates and are the least polluted, whenever I see bilge like that posted above, I conclude that it was concocted for political purposes. If the authors of those "studies" were truly concerned about pollution and overpopulation, they would look at the fact that countries of the first world are cleaner, have lower birthrates, do more about protecting endangered species, etc., and conclude that we need to bring the third world countries up to our level, not try to push us down to theirs. But of course, their concerns are never what they state they are. They want to force everyone to live like serfs while they set themselves up as kings--in other words, they are trying to force socialism on us by any means necessary.

Paul Ehrlich has predicted so many wrong catastrophes in his lifetime that I’m quite surprised any one will even publish his work any more. Analyzing goat entrails would be more successful.

Global Population Reduction: Confronting the Inevitable

It has become increasingly apparent over the past half-century that there is a growing tension between two seemingly irreconcilable trends. On one hand, moderate to conservative demographic projections indicate that global human numbers will almost certainly reach 9 billion, perhaps more, by mid-21st century. On the other, prudent and increasingly reliable scientific estimates suggest that the Earth's long-term sustainable human carrying capacity, at what might be defined as an "adequate" to "moderately comfortable" developed-world standard of living, may not be much greater than 2 to 3 billion. It may be considerably less, particularly if the normative lifestyle (level of consumption) aspired to is anywhere close to that of the United States.

-- snip --

That there will be a large-scale reduction in global human numbers over the next two or three centuries appears to be inevitable. The primary issue seems to be whether this process will be under conscious human control and (hopefully) relatively benign, or whether it will turn out to be unpredictably chaotic and (perhaps) catastrophic. We must begin our new manner of thinking about this critically important global issue now, so that Einstein's prescient and legitimate concerns about human and civilizational survival into the 21st century and beyond may be addressed as rapidly, fully, and humanely as possible.

--------------------------------

Nine Population Strategies to Stop Short of 9 Billion

3. Eradicate gender bias from law, economic opportunity, health, and culture. Women who can own, inherit, and manage property; divorce; obtain credit; and participate in civic and political affairs on equal terms with men are more likely to postpone childbearing and to have fewer children compared to women who are deprived of these rights.

4. Offer age-appropriate sexuality education for all students. Data from the United States indicate that exposure to comprehensive programs that detail puberty, intercourse, options of abstinence and birth control, and respecting the sexual rights and decisions of individuals, can help prevent unwanted pregnancies and hence reduce birth rates.

5. End all policies that reward parents financially based on the number of children they have. Governments can preserve and even increase tax and other financial benefits aimed at helping parents by linking these not to the number of children they have, but to parenthood status itself.

6. Integrate lessons on population, environment, and development into school curricula at multiple levels. Refraining from advocacy or propaganda, schools should educate students to make well-informed choices about the impacts of their behavior, including childbearing, on the environment.

Current Population is Three Times the Sustainable Level

Current global population of over 7 billion is already two to three times higher than the sustainable level. Several recent studies show that Earth’s resources are enough to sustain only about 2 billion people at a European standard of living.

An average European consumes far more resources than any of the poorest two billion people in the world. However, Europeans use only about half the resources of Americans, on average.

-- snip --

If all of the world’s 7 billion people consumed as much as an average American, it would take the resources of over five Earths to sustainably support all of them. On average, each American uses nearly 20 acres of biologically productive land and water (biocapacity) per year.

-- {Let's do the math. 310,000,000 (US population) X 20 (acres) = 6,200,000,000 (acres)} Hmmm....do you see a problem?--

Earth’s 29.6 billion acres of biologically productive land and water could sustainably support only about 1.5 billion people at an 'American standard of living and consumption.'
