It wasn’t a barn burner but it was a good solid informative talk.

Go Ted. I love his Washington Cartel line and asking if the GOP lead Senate has done anything that Reid wouldn’t have done is brilliant.

Love the Reagan Che t-shirt in the bottom pic. I have the same one, only without the text.

Senator Cruz is the real deal. The reporter’s hatred of Cruz is obvious. Firebrand, slicked back hair, etc. A Republican we can vote for without nose holding.

“Ted Cruz, the firebrand GOP presidential candidate ...”
Ted Cruz is a firebrand? Who knew? /s

That pic, LOL...love it.
BTW, pretty sure he said “repeal” every word, not “appeal”...but that’s journalism for you.

He also spoke of leadership being angry that he tries to force votes that expose congressmen who need to show their constituents the opposite of what they already promised to lobbyists.

I was there, front row left. Not a barn burner, but just as solid as a rock. Ted is the man, just don’t know if he can take the nomination in an age of low info voters.

Ted has the principles and the brains. Now he needs to get theatrical. Show some emotion.

The first ever presidential speech of all time was probably one of the worst delivered speeches but one of the greatest in the words it contained.
President Coolidge, 1st Presidential Film (1924)
In all fairness to Coolidge he came from a time when the public exposure to presidential speeches mostly came from newspapers.

It wasnt a barn burner but it was a good solid informative talk. We have been listening to him for quite a while now. So we are familiar with his talk. But for the first time audience it may be a barn burner for them.
We can look at it this way. Ted Cruz is consistent in his positions. That's why the content of his talk is not new to us. It means that he is trustworthy. We can sleep peacefully at night when he is POTUS.
Now I look beyond his content to enjoy his masterful way of communicating. If you notice, he always credits the grass root for successes in blocking bad bills. He always energizes them to work with him to reignite the promise of America.

Yeah he spoke of Reagan easing the tax and regulatory burden as a means of paying down debt. When you lighten the load on the people, jobs are created and revenue increases thus paying down debt.
