I think Cruz is prepared to bolt the GOP and bring others with him if the GOPe tries to shut him and Trump down.

Ted has the principles and the brains. Now he needs to get theatrical. Show some emotion.
That's what I've been saying all along. That's why it wasn't "a barn burner"

He says all the right things but he has no charisma, he's boring to listen to and painful to watch.

I understand that line of reasoning, but taking out government agencies and bureaucracies eliminates the financing of that agency as well as those that are 'employed' to perform it.

And I wouldn't worry about any unemployment burden .... they'll all be absorbed by the openings left by the vacating illegals as THAT problem is chased down

I don't know what kind of emotions you are looking for. He had plenty of emotions last night.

In case you missed this kind of emotion:

Cruz finished up by saying what he would do with the Affordable Care Act, the federal health care law that’s provided more than 16 million Americans with health insurance.

He said premiums and out-of-pocket costs have “skyrocketed.”

“If I am elected president, we are going to appeal every word,” he said.

The crowd went wild.

A not so insignificant typo.

I don’t find anything uninteresting about his manner of speaking. His speeches tend to be very good and inspiring. The event last night was a question and answer session.

In the case of Ted Cruz, I know its not just soothing words to entertain. He really believes and lives what he says and has for as long as he’s been in public life.

Absolutely. Plus it makes it a lot easier to open and run a business.

You have Ted Cruz living in your head, rent-free.

If you hate him so much, don’t read threads about him. However, if you don’t hate him, but attack him to destroy his character on behalf of your candidate, shame on you!

Let Love lead you and purify your heart.

Cruz/Lee works for me.

Cruz/West, that’s the best.

More theatrical? Not necessarily. He is who and what he is. Trump is doing the handstands and somersaults and is deflecting the lying media away from TC (and an as-yet-unannounced possible candidate.)

"boring to listen to and painful to watch"

Troll much? There's a reason the media -including FOX- is too scared to even play sound bytes from him.
(Hint: It's not because he's "boring".)

With the media, the best way to know who they fear the most is to watch who they avoid.

Obviously there is no reason to give Gilmour a lot of coverage but Ted Cruz is a top tier candidate getting virtually no coverage.

Troll much?

Since certain misinformed FR posters have been PM'ing other posters that I'm a troll...

What is the prevailing FR definition of "troll"? Or is a "troll" someone another poster just doesn't care for and cannot think of a better response?

Sincere questions.

(Disclaimer: R2z financially supports FR and Ted Cruz 100% but is not against Trump because DT is deflecting much flak from and taking the heat of the mindless press and GOPe and is giving cover to Ted Cruz and other people I like.)

Here in CA we watched an actor with limited intelligence and charisma take the governorship away from a brilliant and decidedly more qualified but flat conservative.

I want Cruz to win. If doing handstands is what it takes then he needs to get to it.

Out-Trump Trump? Not the wisest choice of battle plans.

Lefty Chris Hayes on Ted Cruz in 2013

In october 2007 I sat in the media gallery of the united states supreme court and watched the solicitor general of texas argue on behalf of the state that he should have the ability to put to death a mexican national, Jose Medellín, who had been convicted of raping and murdering two teenage girls in houston. He won that argument and he (Medellín) was executed by texas on august 5th , 2008 , despite the objections of the united nations and the international court of justice . at the time, I had no idea who this man arguing on behalf of texas was. but all I could think was holy crap , this guy is good. it was one of his nine times arguing before the supreme court and he was witty, incredibly fast on his feet and clearly had a brilliant legal mind. it is to this day one of the most impressive displays i have ever seen before the court and i have had the good fortune to spend a lot of time there. so you can imagine my horror in 2012 when i tuned into the texas senate race. i hadn't been paying much attention to. and realized that lieutenant governor david dewhurst , the republican establishment candidate, was being prepared by a tea party candidate who was the same guy i saw kick ass in the supreme court in 2007 . i thought that night, night i made that connection, oh, this is trouble. and trouble that man has been. trouble in every direction. as he vies to be the singular voice of the right wing grassroots and as he has very quickly assumed a leadership role in movement.

Is Ted Cruz the most dangerous man on the American right?

And that is exactly my position as well. I will NOT actively support Trump until and unless he is the only one left standing in the way of a Democratic victory in 2016. Cruz is my man, 100%, and I have been supporting ONLY him financially.
