The scandal surrounding US intelligence reports on ISIS just hit President Barack Obama's inner circle.
James Clapper, America's top spy, is reportedly in "frequent and unusual contact" with the military officer who is suspected of allowing US reports on ISIS to be altered to fit the administration's official line, Spencer Ackerman at The Guardian reports.
"In communications, Clapper, who is far more senior than Grove, is said to tell Grove how the war looks from his vantage point, and question Grove about Central Command’s assessments," Ackerman writes.
"Such a situation could place inherent pressure on a subordinate, sources said."
Clapper, the director of national intelligence, reportedly talks to Army Brig. Gen. Steven Grove, the head of US Central Command's intelligence wing, almost every day, according to The Guardian.
A former intelligence official told the newspaper that this was "highly unusual."
This report comes amid a Pentagon investigation into accusations that top military officials have pressured analysts into conforming their reports to the Obama administration's narrative of the fight against ISIS (also known as Islamic State, ISIL, and Daesh).
More than 50 intelligence analysts at Centcom, the Pentagon agency covering security interests in nations throughout the Middle East and Central Asia, have formally complained that senior intelligence officers have insisted on changing ISIS reports to make them reflect more positively on US efforts in the region, The Daily Beast reported this week.

It was laughable then, and tragic now. He was covering for Huma, and Obama's henchmen of "the Brotherhood" who have open access to the Oval Office.

From the reporting I’ve seen, if it doesn’t fit Obama’s political agenda, he & his officials don’t want to see it. Obama is not being mislead (IMO). This is like the Benghazi situation - they knew almost immediately it was a terrorist attack, but that didn’t fit the political agenda, so they said it was the video. Obama knew the truth then ... he knows the truth that ISIS is not “the JV team” now.

Here’s my take — Obama is NOT interested in hearing about the TRUE state of Iraq and Syria. All he wants is news that his policies are succeeding.
He has already fired a lot of his competent military staff ( Generals and Intelligence Officers ), he’s now surrounded himself with lackeys who simply work to give him what he wants to hear.
Congress? Most of them know this but a lot are not interested in making a huge deal out of this ( especially the Democrats ).
The Press? I would say that many of those who have access to the inner circle of the administration know what’s going on but have kept this under wrap until Obama has been safely re-elected.
And since, most Americans rely on the mainstream press, and a huge number don’t bother to inform themselves, we’ll have to learn a costly lesson.
I’m guessing in a sane world with congress doing their job, Obama would be impeached and tried for treason.

I believe that the corruption of the US Govt has passed the point of no return. Nothing will be done about this. Nothing. I just hope we can build a fee nation out of the pieces left of this one.
