The officer who led the investigation of Bowe Bergdahls disappearance and capture in Afghanistan six years ago testified Friday that the Army sergeant said he walked away from his post as part of a plan to spark a search and get the attention of a general so he could express his concerns about his units leadership.

If this investigator is looking for an excuse for Bergdahl, he’s pretty stupid.
Bergdahl should have gone up his chain of command with any concerns.

So the coverrup begins. The problem is, there are enough young men who know the real story.

So not only is he lying about the unit they are trashing the unit that had to look for him and by extension, those who lost their lives. Is there anything this administration won’t do to keep their incompetence under wraps. That was rhetorical.

The article says right there that he testified that that’s what Bergdahl said his reason was. It did NOT say, “The general thinks this.”
To: navysealdad
Bergdahl was not going to be there forever. How much time did he have left “in country” before he came back home?
What exactly was it that this military genius was upset about? He wasn’t a Sergeant when he took off. What is this great tactical insight that he had?
He was going to walk 19 miles through hostile country to give a speech to the press he was sure would be waiting to hear from him?
And a general believed that crock?
Hahahahahahaha!
“They say that in the Army
The generals have no brain.
They sit down in the urinal
And make believe it’s rain.
Gee Ma I want to go
But they won’t let me go
Oh how I want to go
Hoo-eh-ooo-eh-oooahome, yeah!”

It did NOT say, The general thinks this.
I know that. I’m saying Bergdahl should have followed his chain of command.

So, the Article 32 Investigating Officer, a Two Star General, has been given his marching orders from Obama to show Bergdahl as a hapless, naive victim of poor leadership so that Bergdahl walks.

That’s if he was telling the truth, which is highly unlikely.
To: navysealdad
That's like the excuse I heard used by a (former) cop caught downloading child porn on his personal home computer, claiming he was just "doing research" on how to catch pornographers. Nobody bought that story, and off to prison he went.
