Then the sites will have fewer hits and fewer hits means less revenue from advertisers.

“This is ghetto, this is corporate, they’re taking your energy and you’re getting nothing in return – nothing!”

Well, at least that much is absolutely true.

Probably.

The issue is ad revenue. Few understand the devastation that the internet has done to the ad business, which means free TV, cable, newsprint in all forms, etc is going away.

The ones who control the ads are also the ones who control access to the elite. Trump’s run has broken down that last firewall, and this is a stop gap.

I guess it is better than violence.

Trying to wrap my head around this one. How would it be enforced?

They have the votes? What does this mean?

Maybe it's TPP that will do it.

If the owner of the copy-written material allows electronic links to their material it is essentially an implied licence to view it. Providing a link isnt an infringement since it is just a path to the material. It is the site’s owner (presumably the one that owns the copyright) that decides who he lets view it. If the site owner doesnt own the material they would be liable, not the link provider.

Permissions will be granted. When you look at the web activity these sites generate FROM Drudge, you realize permissions would be granted very quickly. Being highlighted in Drudge is THE BEST abvertising your website could get, news wise. For me, when a poster says here on FR that they can’t use the link because of no permission...I avoid the link. (My personal opinion is such a headline, that you cannot pass on, shouldn’t even be posted here. Why give such a site business (hits)?)

To Sarah's List and all my other Ping Lists that I hold, this post is from JimRob, I encourage everyone to get the word out.

We already know Free Republic is on the Radar.

I am sure we are on the Stasi's Target List as well.

You could always change FR to an educational site with a university facade. “Fair use” will never be restricted for universities.

Sounds like Roberts is still being blackmailed big time, another 5/4 decision.

“I assume this would put google and yahoo out of business too?”

I’m sure there will be an exclusion for the liberal websites.

There’s something I’m not getting- how is posting a link infringing on a copyright? The link actually serves to get the originating website more traffic, not take away from it. Without links all over - including search engines - most viewers wouldn’t find these protected articles to read. Are we then supposed to randomly come upon a news story- but never link to it when discussing it so others never read it either? Sounds ludicrous! (1984ish)

The next President is the last firewall, with up to 4 SC vacancies coming. I won’t trust Trump on this, the only candidate I would trust to take back the Judiciary is Cruz.

According to how much bribe money they paid and to whom. One thing for sure is that everything will be for sale to the highest bidder.

The real power of the rat party are feeling their power slip through their fingers. Their propaganda machines no longer in control of the gullible masses.

The government is in the practice of picking winners and losers, don't you know?

“I assume this would put google and yahoo out of business too?”

It could. Under this scenario it would be a license to link. Google would presumably be allowed to link.

Yet, this is very suspect. It would be like outlawing someone giving directions to a store that sells newspapers.

I think there is something wrong with Drudge.

For one, why would he go on Alex Jones?

Jones is a not credible, not a patriot, not a Christian.

I think Matt Drudge may have some personal problems at this time.
