It would be interesting to see the Executive Branch stand up and make sure that laws were executed properly. This is part of Checks and Balances. Are judges over-stepping? Well, the president ought to step in and say "Show me the piece of legislation that allows you to do that. If you cannot, then your action is null and void."
It's basically a variation on Andrew Jackson saying, "John Marshall has made his decision, now let him enforce it." Without the executive branch, nothing gets enforced.

I get that, but I am not impressed at all with him as a speaker with a small “s”.

Daniel Webster Conservative Review Freedom Rating D - 64%. Maybe not so hardline conservative. Those "ratings" are crap. They're based on voting records which are manipulated by the leadership like a finely-tuned machine (which it is).
Votes are counted ahead of time. Members in GOP-safe districts are allowed to vote first on distasteful bills so they can vote "Nay", then the members in GOP-shaky districts vote last, so they can vote "Yay". The bill goes up in smoke, and the GOP'ers in the shaky districts can go home and say "Hey, I voted for it, but gosh-darn it, it lost". Their so-called "conservative" ratings go up, and the GOP'ers in the other districts who voted "Nay" have their "conservative" ratings go down.
It's all a sham.

This reads ‘fishy’ to me....
In the middle of a speaker’s opportunity to do something and they stop him cold...I’m not for Webster but still this isn’t right...
This smells like Bush, sorry but he would be that underhanded to do anything he would to get to where he wants to be...

Since when does a judge have the authority to redraw congressional districts?

Mr. Webster is a hard line semi-conservative.

This judge is determined to implement the redistricting plan drawn up by the democrats and the other liberals who brought the lawsuit in the first place.
Through infighting and ineptness the majority republicans gave him just the opening he needed to justify doing just that.

If McConnell stays where he is and if the Gopes get one of their own as Speaker, there will be a Democrat majority in the House and one in the Senate after the next election.

“Wish the RINOs would just bolt the GOP and let the conservatives have their party back.”
The conservatives have never controlled the GOP, they are a minority within it, in fact, they are the true RINOs.

Since when does a judge have the authority to redraw congressional districts? Republicans had the opportunity to exert some control over the redistricting.
The republican majority was given the opportunity to draw up a new plan as a result of a state supreme court decision.
But they couldn't agree on a new plan so they passed one of their old plans back to the judge to make a decision.
It looks like he is going with the alternate plan submitted by the democrats.

I agree, but have you seen what the politicians do? Check out the Maryland map, with special reference to Districts 2 & 3.
