How to use Google without being tracked (and 4 search engines that never track you)
Yahoo Tech ^ | 10/20/2015 | Zach Epstein

I love how “evil” Google is. Do you hear that, Google? I want you to have all of my data, as long as you keep protecting it. I want you to learn everything you can about me, and I want you to use that data to make my life better. I want you to make my life easier. I want services like Google Now to give me information before I even know I need it. I want it all. But many people aren’t in the same boat as me, and there are plenty of very valid reasons to want to protect your data and keep it out of Google’s hands. But should that mean you have to stop using Google for searches?

Well guess what: it only takes one step to stop Google from tracking you, and you can still enjoy Google search along with several other Google features. Plus, there are some great alternatives to Google search that don’t track you, and we’ll cover them here as well.

VPN is not a sustainable solution as it is being regarded as a resource drain compared to other solutions (ie RTS) and because of that many companies/ISPs are blocking VPN ability. If VPN works for you, go with it, but don’t expect it to work everywhere. In fact, you’ll save yourself a lot of frustration if you expect any given ISP to involuntarily chuckle when you request the ability to use VPN.

I use yahoo search (which probably is just as bad) but the reason I use it is because my Norton internet security ‘Safe Web” icons work on the search results, warning me of unsafe sites before clicking on them- I got so sick of clicking on links not knowing they were infected with viruses or malware or tracking crap overtime I did searches- Now I can tel at a glance- if the link has a green check mark- it USUALLY is safe (not always though)

I just got sick of google’s aggressive intrusiveness and haven’t used them in years now

Not many search engines work with Norton’s safe search, so I’m kinda stuck with only a few of the major ones like yahoo, ask etc- but I won’t do searches anymore without the feature-

I get really tired of looking for a fridge, for example, then I go over to FB or shopping sites.....everyone of them starts with the fridge ads. Happens every time I shop online. Keeps me from buying their stuff

I shop for bikinis a lot. And I mean like all the time.

Then when I go to a google ad website, I am surrounded by bikini ads.

Thanks Google.

Lucky you, Heaven is just like that.

Just curious, how many bikinis do you own? I mean, given that you can only wear one at a time.
