Carson: No Abortion In Cases Of Rape Or Incest
Daily Caller ^ | 10/25/15 | Steve Guest

Ben Carson says, “I have plenty of energy, but, you know, I am soft-spoken.”

In an interview airing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” with Chuck Todd, Carson responded to Donald Trump’s recent critique of him being “super low energy” explaining, “I do have a tendency to be relaxed.”

Todd asked Carson about Trump’s joke regarding Carson overtaking him in a couple of Iowa polls, where Trump said that when Carson was told about the poll numbers, he was “sleeping.”

Carson explained, “You know, everybody has their own personality. And if he’d like to do that, that’s fine. That’s not who I am. And I don’t get into the mud pit. And I’m not going to be talking about people. I will tell you in terms of energy, I’m not sure that there’s anybody else running who’s spent 18 or 20 hours intently operating on somebody.”

Todd asked Carson, “Do you think that people mistaken your soft-spokenness with a lack of energy?”

Carson suggested, “I think so. I have plenty of energy, but, you know, I am soft-spoken. I do have a tendency to be relaxed.”

“I wasn’t always like that,” explained Carson. “There was a time when I was, you know, very volatile. But, you know, I changed.”

As a teenager, Carson said, “I would go after people with rocks, and bricks, and baseball bats, and hammers. And, of course, many people know the story when I was 14 and I tried to stab someone. And, you know, fortunately, you know, my life has been changed. And I’m a very different person now.”

Excellent way to phrase it. So many are eager to punish (to death) the child for the sin of his/her father. They act as though it is obvious that those whose lives begin that way should be killed off

I have six living children and three I will never see this side of heaven. The last loss was a little boy-I will never get to kiss him or breathe in his sweet baby scent. I did get to see one ultrasound in which he was kicking and bouncing around. It seems to be Gods will that he is to be our last child. Women who slaughter their own babies, for whatever reason, make me sick.

It’s the only logical position...If ONE innocent life is sacred, so are ALL innocent lives. And furthermore why should an innocent person pay for the crimes of another?

Carson needs to be asked at the next debate why he sat on the boards of CostCo and Kellogg for almost 20 years, when at the same time these two liberal-controlled giants were funding abortion worldwide. Now that is a fact. Bloody Megyn Kelly gave Jeb Bush
a pass on the same thing. He also sat on boards of companies that funded abortion. She never pressed him on and it’s never came up again. If Carson was so “pro-life” he would had not been working for these two liberal companies for years.

Yeb also needs to be asked why he let a barbarian judge have Teri Schiavo murdered.

How does CARSON speak for his past statements? Could it be his original sentiments is affecting his candidacy?

BEN CARSON - ON SOCIAL ISSUES
Carson has expressed support for same-sex civil unions, and following the Supreme Court’s ruling legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states, he conceded the fight was over by declaring the ruling the “law of the land.” (Newsmax)

Despite maintaining a strong pro-life record, in a 1992 interview, Dr. Carson said that while he does not perform abortions, he personally referred women seeking abortions to other doctors. In the same interview, he said that he “would never advocate it’s illegal for a person to get an abortion.” (Baltimore Sun)

Dr. Carson co-authored a medical research paper in 1992 where he outlined his support for the use of aborted baby organs for research purposes. Carson defended his past statements, saying, “To not use the tissue that is in a tissue bank, regardless of where it comes from, would be foolish. Why would anybody not do that?”

Numerous conservatives have expressed that by providing the demand that abortion providers will supply the market and that participating in this practice is being complicit. (Life Site News)

As revelations came to light about Dr. Carson referring the mothers of unborn children with potential birth defects to abortionists, his campaign defended the practice. A campaign spokesman said, “he [Carson] believes in quality medical care, No. 1, and secondly, he believes in people making their own decisions based on facts and information.” Pressed on whether Carson stands by his decision to do so, the same spokesman said yes. The statement is particularly troubling given that pro-abortion proponents use similar language regarding a decision between the patient and their doctor, but not mentioning the life of the child. (Politico)

Since news surfaced of a 1992 research paper co-authored by Dr. Carson that included the use of fetal tissue, Caron’s stance on abortion has come under immense scrutiny and his defense of his previous medical decisions has been troubling to many in the pro-life movement. When asked if Carson stands by his past decision to refer patients to abortion doctors, Carson’s Communications Director said “He believes in quality medical care, No. 1, and secondly, he believes in people making their own decisions based on facts and information.”Additionally, the spokesman went on to say that Carson believes that you can’t stop abortion by making it illegal. The spokesman told Politico, “he [Carson] has always believed that the battle over abortion had to be waged in the hearts and minds of Americans, that you cannot legislate morality. But he also believes we’re winning the debate.” (Politico)

In the 1990s, Carson was a board member of the Baltimore Charitable Foundation which gave $200,000 in grants to Planned Parenthood. When confronted with this fact, and asked if Carson knew about the grants a spokesman said, “it doesn’t really matter.” (Politico)

When asked if he would support abortion in the case of incest or rape, Dr. Carson said, “I would hope that they would very quickly avail themselves of the emergency room, and in the emergency room, they have the ability to administer RU-486 and other possibilities before you have a developing fetus.” RU-486 is an abortifacient that kills a fertilized egg by artificially denying it the ability to attach to the uterine wall. Using Dr. Carson’s own standard of life beginning at conception, this would then constitute murder. (Politico)

During the campaign Dr. Carson has struggled to define when he believes life begins. He told ABC News that life begins “when the heart starts beating” but later clarified that he meant conception. (Politico)

Why kill an innocent whose beginning was no fault of his own, regardless of the circumstances?

Jeb Bush is complicit in the death of Teri Schiavo. He could have stopped it.

Abortion has never bothered Carson. He use to tell women that wanted to abort their children what doctor to go to.

CARSON is not POTUS material. He’d better stick to writing books.

Besides some other comments that are highly questionable in this interview, he stated that he supports a so-called “health of the mother” exception.

An exception which pretty much means unlimited abortion on demand.

He also supports the use of RU486. He supports the use of the bodies of aborted babies for medical experimentation. He supports “and then you can kill the baby” bills which grant explicit permission in the legal code to kill all of the babies, as long as they are killed by an arbitrary schedule.

Frankly, under his rubric, no child is safe throughout the entire gestational period of their life.

My pastor told our congregation that he warned against voting for a pro-abortion President and that anyone who voted for one should repent.

That’s good. But frankly, there’s a whole lot of repenting that needs to go on on the supposed “pro-life” side as well.

The church has failed the unborn. Over 7 million have been aborted.

That sounds like the “I’m gonna take my ball and go home” way of living. Over the past few decades, we conservatives have tended to retreat from organizations when they become liberal. We don’t stay and fight. We run away. And feel high-minded about it.

As much as possible we need to stay and fight. We have lost many cultural institutions. We need to get back in there and fight. I don’t know if Dr. Carson worked for conservative causes while on the two boards. And we have a role to play, to let folks like Dr. Carson know when important issues come up for them to take a stand.

Carson is a good friend of the Bushes and Clintons. Don’t trust him as far as I can throw him.
