Clinton Emails Show Tripoli Embassy Warned D.C. Not to ‘Conflate’ Video With Benghazi Attack
The Blaze ^ | October 31, 2015 | By Kaitlyn Schallhorn

As former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continued to blame the attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi on a controversial YouTube video, a State Department official at Embassy Tripoli in Libya wrote an email to D.C. colleges that urged them to be “cautious” in their messaging just a few days after the attack.

According to the email from the official in Libya on Sept. 14, 2012, “it is becoming increasingly clear that the series of events in Benghazi was much more terrorist attack than a protest which escalated into violence.” The email was released Friday in the first dump since Clinton testified in front of the House Select Committee on Benghazi committee last week.

“It is our opinion that in our messaging, we want to distinguish, not conflate, the events in other countries with this well-planned attack by militant extremists,” the official, whose name has been redacted, wrote in the email.

The official also said the films were not “as explosive an issue here as it appears to be in other countries in the region.”

Clinton continued to cite a controversial YouTube video as the reasoning behind the 2012 attack that killed four Americans. Family members have said that Clinton blamed the video in her conversations with them — even after the email from the Embassy Tripoli.

“This email shows that State Department staff privately raised concerns about conflating the terrorist attacks in Benghazi with a video on the Internet, even as the Secretary of State and other Obama administration officials continued to do so publicly,” Matt Wolking, the House Select Committee on Benghazi press secretary, told TheBlaze in a statement Saturday morning. . .

“a State Department official at Embassy Tripoli in Libya”

Just an opinion of some lower level guy that worked for her. Move along.

All of this criminality, corruption, lying, manipulation, incompetence and mismanagement, and about 40% of the country would be happy to vote for H.R.C.

The apologies for the video started long before there was any attack in Benghazi.

The Cairo embassy tweeted it's first apology for the "video" early in the morning on Sept. 11th 2012 many hours before the attack in Benghazi. Even before the protests in Cairo.

U.S. Embassy in Cairo chooses Sep. 11 to apologize for hurt Muslim feelings; Hours later, angry Egyptian mob storms compound; Embassy stands by its apology; White House disavows it

The protests and attack in Cairo (nor anywhere in the world) weren't about that stupid 'video' either.

Brian Lilley: The MSM is lying about the muslim riots
Interviews on the streets of Cairo. 'Video' had nothing to do with protests and attack.

"Blame it on the Video" was a Fraud for the Cairo Rioting, Too

“and about 40% of the country would be happy to vote for H.R.C.”

There’s a retired state worker in my car club. He’s very upset that HRC is apparently the candidate. He’d like somebody else. But there is no doubt amongst those of us who know him that he’ll vote for her. It boggles the mind as he is otherwise a bright, well-read man.

"There is a retired state worker in my car club.” “But there is no doubt amongst those of us who know him that he will vote for her.”

Because he thinks a Democrat in office will be better for him (maybe thinks the Democrats will preserve and protect his state pension). Selfishness, jealousy, and resentment are some of the biggest weapons the Democrats have, and there are many, many people out there who vote Democrat on this basis.

As someone from a lower-middle class blue collar family, I can tell you that even some extended family members were resentful when I got into medical school, and I've had people who I thought were my friends tell me to my face that ‘Hillary is going to get you guys’ (i.e. physicians). I'm not different than them, and all I did was to work hard and take on student loan debt. So why the resentment? Therein lies the power and divisiveness of the Democrats.

Benghazi & Tripoli were both saying "terrorist" not "protest", same for the CIA.

The only ones saying "protest" were Obama & Hillary!

...and know we find out, years later, that Barack lied & did indeed know about Hillary's home-brew server and the two exchanged emails that W.H. refuses to release.

Your assessment of Democrats and the bitter emotions that drive them is absolutely correct. With the exception of the Department of Defense, the federal bureaucracy is infested with government loving Democrats who deeply resent anyone who thinks that government is too big, costly, inefficient or self serving. They protect their gravy train at all costs and reliably vote Democrat. Those who would reduce the size of the Fedzilla are seen as mortal enemies.

Their number one interest is protecting their jobs and their bureaucratic empires. Its not about service; its about control.

“a State Department official at Embassy Tripoli in Libya”

Why not name the "State Department" official so we can hear his side of the story?

“some extended family members were resentful when I got into medical school,”

When I worked for an Israeli company many conversations began, “There’s an old Jewish saying,” followed by a string of Hebrew. The one I’m thinking of went, “I want you to do well (pause) but not better than me.”
