DC Media Fail: By Nearly 2-to-1 Americans Oppose Obama’s Syrian Refugee Plan
Big Government ^ | 11/18/15 | John Nolte

For five days a coordinated DC Media has been attacking as racists anyone opposed to President Obama’s plan to resettle thousands of Syrians refugees here in America. A new poll shows that the emotional blackmail being hurled by both Obama and his DC Media allies has failed miserably. By nearly 2-to-1 (53% to 28%), Americans oppose the resettlement program.

Bloomberg:

(Bloomberg content snipped per FR rules)

When you add in the 11% who only want Christian refugees, that adds up to 64% who do not want Muslim refugees from Syria.

The American people are compassionate but they are not stupid, nor are they suicidal. They know ISIS is cunning and effective, they also know that Obama and the federal government are inept.

To paraphrase HRC: what difference does it make? The regime is going to do want it wants to do, the public be damned.

I was wondering if a poll would come out on this. Looks like one has and it is not good news for Obama. The majority want a halt to this nonsense.

It makes no difference to King Obama. This rotten insane man is a committed communists black Muslim and a terrorists. His entire presidency was to destroy America and he has accomplished so much that it may never recover. Only a leader like Trump with his iron fist attitude can bring America back.

Some very stupid people and some very smart people allowed this guy to have a second term. I feel sorry for the stupid people because, after all, when you are born dumb you stay that way a long time. For the very smart people I have nothing but contempt and loathing for their participation in what is happening to the country.

http://legalinsurrection.com/2015/11/wave-of-governors-say-their-states-will-refuse-syrian-refugees

The answer may be political

In this specific situation, the best bet is probably not for the states to argue a strictly legal case, but to seek to win the political argument. The negative fallout from Obamacare has decimated Democrats ranks at both the state and federal levels. Democrats have lost both the House and the Senate, dozens of Governors and Attorneys General, and hundreds and hundreds of state legislative seats.

With about half the states already stepping forward to say they do not want unvetted Syrian refugees and they will refuse to participate or fund any such efforts, this puts two types of political pressure on the Obama administration. First, with that many states refusing to fund the handling of any Syrian refugees, this becomes a more costly operation for the federal government to manage.

Second, with the 2016 elections rapidly approaching, and so many vulnerable Democrats on the ballot in the states whose Governors want to refuse Syrian refugees, it would not be surprising if Obama got pressure, both openly and behind the scenes, from members of his own party. It is noteworthy that the list of states participating includes both early primary states Iowa and New Hampshire, as well as swing states like Florida and Ohio.

This story is, once again, an illustration of the importance of local and state elections. The reason this issue is making news is due in no small part to the increased numbers of Governors who are Republicans. Local elections matter.

Since when has popular opinion ever swayed the Current Regime when there is some agenda they want to pursue?

By similar margins, legalizing homosexual marriages was resisted by the voters when it came up on the ballot, but they just found a tame judge, and had it overturned, and by careful selection of the appeals venues, managed to get the perversion of public intent sealed by the Supreme Court, therefore it is “the law of the land”.

Similar shenanigans were used to ram through the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, by making long promises to a number of the legislators that were sitting on the fence, and only by the most tortured of legal arguments, this monstrosity was declared “Constitutional”, despite the widespread resistance to acceptance by the voting public, but again, it has become “the law of the land”.

It is getting to where “the law of the land” does not mean at all what it once did.

Good. They got through their “law of the land”. Now let them come enforce it.

Mahatma Gandhi got the British to make a much better deal for the Indian subcontinent though something called “civil disobedience”. It may involve some several people sitting out some prison time, and widespread clashes with the “national civilian security corps” (not the local police), but this stranglehold by jack-booted thugs CAN be broken.

The Second Amendment is there for a reason.

The state constitutional amendment process in Article V is there for the same reason.

Surprised by the headline. I’d have thought waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than 2-1 against it. Shows the Left has had considerable success with their racism ploy.

Believe it or not, the Obama plan is actually sensible — ‘conservative’ even — compared to what Canada’s new Liberal Prime Minister is committed to do: bring in 25,000 ‘Syrian’ ‘refugees’ by the end of this year. That’s right, a country with 1/10th the population of the U.S.A is going to bring in two and a half times as many ‘refugees’ as the U.S.A — and do so within 6 weeks.

Ya that’s not good. Maybe time to consider a northern wall as well. Proactive. Dearbornistan already has a foothold.

BTW, I had opportunity to take a couple flights out of Pierson Intl, (in Toronto), a couple times last year. I could not believe the amount of people I would guess are of Persian/ Arabian ancestory working as part of that Airport. I almost wondered what country I was in.

One of the Paris savages’ mothers worked for immigration. That is literally one degree of separation from the terrorists.
